  1. Can I have 2x2 in Red and Black please? (can pay immediately via paypal etc)
  2. From previous experiences of MR2's, they made the Mk2 for 10 yrs (1990-2000) and a lot get imported from Japan, and there was 5 revisions of the Mk2, However i have seen an 02 plate Mk2, and R reg (97) MR2s, which are only a rev1 (ie 1990-92) So i cant agree with plates necessarily reflecting the age of the car, sometimes they do it on date it was imported over, cos there is no way you would get an 02 Mk2 MR2 otherwise! Just my 2p worth!
  3. I think this kind of post should be thrashed out by the 2 people concerned before being posted on here myself. My clutch went at 69,000 which i believe 65-70k is the norm I sourced my paddle clutch and fidenza flywheel from the states at a cost of £600 Was fitted last May, covered about 4000 miles since and no issues, but boy does it bite!
  4. Good luck, I've had no issues with mine, touch wood (I bloody jinxed myself now havnt I!!)
  5. Would love too! Had it on my old MR2 (remote start that is) The only issue i Had was i had to get a duplicate key cut, while the original key had to (secretly) be taped to the barrel of the ignition, as it needed the chip within the key to operate the ignition. Now this i didnt mind on my MR2, however i dont like the thought of the doing the same to the Z, and also, it will have to bypass the clutch depression to start too...... Nice idea though, may add the app, and see if i can annoy some americans by pressing the button.... I wonder if i can start their cars from here?!?! ha ha ha
  6. I have ultralites all round, and seem to do the job fine
  7. It really is terrible..... Cheers for the edit Stew
  8. I know, you gotta be crazy crazy to do that anyway But apparently in training already, many have been injured! As someone already quoted "its a sport for humans, not lemmings!" I think they pushed the boundaries a bit too much for this event.... And only now, they are now saying "maybe we should make that wall a bit higher" Not being funny though, why would you have big steel girders right next to the track?!?!?! Id want those bad boys to be the furthest things away!!!
  9. **WARNING** Not for the faint hearted........... As you may or may not of heard in the Winter Olympics opening ceremony, this young athlete was on a training run as a Luge Slider.... He was only 21, and from Georgia, and after flying down the track at speeds of more than 90mph, he left the track and slammed into a metal girder, resulting in death. Its very sad for his family, and for the olympics. Heres a link to the video... but be warned its not very pleasant. http://www.examiner.com/x-15135-Global- ... s#comments Dan

    New Alloys :D

    Look forward to seeing these!!
  13. Looks mint mate, well done!! Another of the MR2 gang is here! Woohoo!!
  14. That's where my MR2 makes light work of the snow...oodles of traction!! Effectively makes the car like a snowmobile...power and weight at the back and little skis at the front!! It really doesn't strugggle in this weather, and very good to get from house to a clearer main road... I used one of our company cars in the snow last year, a Golf Plus!! The traction control threw a hissy fit and you just couldn't get anywhere, especially if it involved turning and accelerating at the same time!! Hello mate, nice to see another 2 owner converting to Zed power!! Dan

    350z badge removal

Wicked! Cheers for the speedy reply!
  16. Hi im thinking of debadging the 350z badge (i ran a search but no real conclusive answers) Im gonna keep the hamburger ones (I've already replazed with Z badges) Was just wondering before i remove, if they are just stuck on, or will i discover holes?? Cheers! Dan
  17. Sorry for my naivity, but i have "felt" it come on in the past, but is there any other indicator to let you know the ESP has kicked in? Does a light come on, or do you just feel a loss in power, and the wheels gain traction? (Mine is always switched on by the way)
  18. I went to ATS, and they were rubbish, said i needed the key to get it off, i bought the reverse thread locking wheel nut remover, only to find it was too big to fit in the hole of the nut! So anyway took it to my friend who owns a garage, he prompty took a socket (one with a hole all the way through) and hammered the socket onto the nut, one twinge and it was loose, the only prob was getting the nut off (hence the hole all the way through) it can then be tapped out with a screwdriver from the other end. You do have to hammer them on till they bite though, its a cheap and very effective way of removing these IMO. Dan
  19. Ok heres my pics guys. Well done to Jerry for organising a good meet, was well turned out, sorry i only stayed for an hour, but football beckoned, however, going by the score i should of stayed! Was good meeting a few of you anyway, and look forward to some meets in the future Meeting at Hemel On The M1 on the way down Entering Ace And my one of course! A bit pic heavy, but hope you enjoy... Dan
  20. Well its 8am, and its bloody lashing it down! Was hoping to wax the car! Have to see if the rain lets up in the next couple of hours! (Im about 20 miles north of Ace Cafe) Have watched the weather though, and it is supposed to clear, with the rain heading east, and then be clear for the rest of the day (fingers crossed)
  21. I just washed it around 5, just saw the weather too , and rain looks to be arriving! Hopefully will rinse and dry with hose tomorrow if need be, and a once over with the dodo wax!
  22. I think black, or Graphite, with a polished lip would look good, and be more universal....
