I think the other big nations will actually turn up in the next 2 world cups so although it is progress it’s not a given that England will automatically win just because the team is young and did well. Don’t get me wrong, credit where it’s due, you guys got further than anyone except Gary Linekar expected with a below par team so hat off (I wish the game last night was on BBC so the rest of the UK could see that smug look wiped off Linekars mug) I think the best era that I’ve witnessed was the Beckham-Scholes era, and since then there’s been some great players What really gets me though is the whole “home” thing.....

Regardless of how England defended Columbia were awful for 80 mins. Croatia and Sweden will do better imo

Home being Brazil/Belgium/France/Uruguay/Croatia So there goes my prediction Hugely disappointed with Columbia they only started playing after 80 mins and even when they did their tactics were all wrong. This isn’t the best England team we’ve seen but in the air at the back they’re decent. Why they kept playing long balls I don’t know When the Colombians play well it’s ball on the ground, tight passing, showing their flair. They did none of that last night. Really poor show And their behaviour for the first 80 mins was a disgrace ....and for those who don’t know me, yes I’m scottish
