  1. Try compare the market, with your mum on the policy as a named driver.
  2. It's pretty obvious that the forum can't help you with this one I'm afraid mate. Everything we have suggested hasn't helped and I am struggling to read your posts, which is probably causing the animosity, with conclusion that you are in fact, a troll (bullshitter). Just reads that way. EDIT: Did your numberplate fall off?
  3. Something doesn't add up......You are getting insurance quotes at £3-6k+ and you are quibbling about tax being about £95 more than your Golf (based on pre 2006 figures) and at very most £250 more on a post 06 cars! I think you have more money than sense mate and that's coming from somebody who was on that wage and bought a 350z at 20years old too. My insurance was more like £1500 and would is £900 for me at 21 now fully comp. Best advice, be patient and wait. The car WILL get cheaper, the insurance WILL drop in price too. Good luck buddy
  4. Phone was £189. 18 months contract at £35 a month for 600 mins and 700 text, unlimited internet usage. O2 and Orange are both doing this deal iirc
  5. Mines's an 18month contract at £35 a month, not 24. I have had 3 different blackberrys through work, I don't like any of them to be honest. Will see how the iphone goes from Wednesday.
  6. I'm on Orange and buying a 3GS 16GB for £35 a month for £189 outlay for the hardware tonight. Should get in in a few days...
  7. Glad to hear it mate, I bought mine at 20years old after waiting 3 years...... Welcome to the club. I changed my head unit to a Alpine double din, was quite difficult to get the wiring looms back in (with the steering wheel controls), but other than that....pretty straight forward after following a FAQ guide. Also, I would get the car wrapped.....as that will protect the paint underneath from stonechips and cost at least 50% less than a full respray
  8. Why can't you just put up a for sale thread here?? I can, just haven't finished the advert yet. Works really busy at the moment (which is a good thing I suppose), so will fire it up when it's done. Yeah I spent a lot of time cherishing the car and have enjoyed every minute of driving it compared with my previous cars. I am going to keep all the modifications on the car, although I would probably get a bit more money selling off the parts on here....I think the car is set off well with them on and it saves the buyer from having to fit anything themselves. Why did you get rid of your Z4MC? Based on my current circumstances, it seems like the best choice to move to in terms of an upgrade. I am looking for something a little bit more hardcore which will keep me on my toes. The zed is great as a refined tourer and has made my daily commute much more comfy with lots of people turning heads, but I feel the need to take my driving experience to a different level of focus
  9. I'll pm you the essentials, but ideally would like to put this up on pistonheads and fire over the link if that's ok? I can't really turn this into a for sale thread because of the forum rules buddy
  10. Haha, yeah I have my eye on a new 370z Convertible....I'll be back Enjoy the kit mate, the car looks superb back at JTS. Might see you there this year
  11. Have you had an insurance quote 350z for another years with mods £950. Z4m Roadster is £1350 and Corvette was £1200. I think that's pretty good considering I am still 21years old with 3 years NCB. I love my post code
  12. Thanks Neo, done lots of research and will be buying approved used which comes with a very decent warranty from BMW. The stock Z4M doesn't have runflats
  13. I tell you it was a hard decision between a Z4M and a Corvette. A friend of a friend took me out in a C6 Targa and my word, the sound of that V8 took me away.....
  14. Yeah I do want a coupe....but they are M3 CSL money... So I need to take one step at a time with my cars, ideally with some time spent in a convertible (Z4M Roadster will be my first).
  15. Hi Guys, I thought I would post about me leaving the Z club in the next week or two, in case I change my mind . I secured a nice bonus for the end of year profits for my team, which I am going to put towards upgrading to a car I've fallen in love with (BMW Z4M Roadster). I would be lying if I said this decision was an easy one, as I still think the 350z is the best car sub £20k and would own one again.....preferably my one!. I've spent a good year enjoying and maintaining my car to forum owner standards and haven't spared a penny with modifying it/looking after it (believe me, my girlfriend wishes she was treated that well!). Just wanted to say thanks for all of the advice, friendship and good times (Japanese Tuning Show at Silverstone last year was the best car meet I have ever been to). I'm hoping to continue posting here and would love to come along to the JTS show again this year (although I might struggle with a german car..). Nurrish, I also want to see your supercharged beast at some point, so will definitely keep in touch. I'm going to be selling up in the next few weeks, I doubt I will split any of the parts on my car (including the LMGT-4's, sorry!) as I think the car is perfect the way it is. Not sure if I will put a for sale thread on here or not yet as I might part ex. I have the joy of insurance running out on the 27th, which means I will be running around in a Toyota Prius (yes, please don't take the P***!)
  16. Most recent BMW's have this as a safety feature IIRC
  17. I *might* (don't get your hopes up) have a set of LMGT4's coming up for sale in the next 2-4 weeks....I'll let you know
  18. Loch fyne Carluccio's Living room Just a few other suggestions, but Brown's is a good shout. Parking isn't excellent though..
  19. Nice work mate, been trying to keep up to date with this thread. So much progress in so little time! I think you should drive with me to Abbey, I have AA cover We'll organise a mini meet to celebrate this project I think.
  20. Has anyone here owned or moved from/to an S2000 before? I am interested to what they think of the power/feel fast factor in comparison to the zed? I supposed our zed's feel "wafty" in comparison as the power is quite linear.....but then the S2000 has no power at all until Vtec?
  21. Took my dad's 4x4 in to the office today. Loads of fun on the backroads. I have already pulled somebody out of the car park and used my survival kit shovel to dig another out. I love this weather! The zed however, is covered and will not move until next week at least...
  22. I don't believe the pic. Although, part of me does want to believe it!
  23. look how much is in the wing mirror I think the wax coat I gave it makes some of it slide off......yet the crap picked up from the road surface over the past week, means that the stuff stick in places!
