Coopers86 NOW Carbon Coops + why
scottsoulby replied to Carbon Coops's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Spot on, like coops said carbon is cheap enough, both mine and coops prices usually are made up depending on the mould, the type of resin used and the labour costs we should work together and make different parts each coops, we should be able to wipe the floor with most traders carbon parts -

ssv extreme flow intake/Cosworth intake manifold?
scottsoulby replied to cookiemonster's topic in Performance
As above really, the ssv and cosworth are only really worth it if you go FI I've had the kinetix before I got my spacer, I swapped it because I got paranoid with some people saying it's prone to cracking, although some people have never had a problem, it's got a gurantee but I couldn't be bothered to mess about swapping them over if one did ever crack as for looks it's down to personal choice. I'm making the carbon plenum, it will have a nice shiny finish and will incorporate the same size spacer as the motordyne 5/16 which is very popular and gives good gains -

our coversation so far: Hi Scott, Many thanks for the email. The car looks great. Good to know it's in such good hands. I'll let Henry Catchpole (who's running the 370) know about your kind offer. Best regards, Peter Tomalin, evo Dennis Publishing Limited - A Sunday Times Top 100 Best Company, 2007 and 2008 Thanks for the reply Peter and thanks for passing the email to henry Do you know if the car was featured in any magazine issues and which ones, I wouldn't mind purchasing them if I can? Thanks Scott Soulby Hi Scott, It featured in a lot of issues! Intro piece 065 Drifting! 067 Bodykit etc 069 071 073 Biggest one was in 074 (Gran Turismo ad shoot) Exhaust stuff in 075 Fast Fleet special in 076 End of term 077 These were all back in late 2003, early 2004, so you'll be lucky to find them from our back issues dept, but do give them a try on 0844 844 0039 (they're a separate company). If they don't have them , your best bet would be to look out for them on ebay, or try either the evo or Pistonheads forums. Cheers, Peter ive rang up the magazine company but they dont have the stock, only from 2006 onwards, so ill now have to start searching elsewhere, anyone have any ideas, ill start with ebay -

Scott if anyonw wants any carbon bits, let me know i can hopefully bring them with me -
The black bits are still carbon fibre, the reason they havnt got the weave in places is because it's very difficult to get the weave in such tight spaces, also if we did put the carbon in there it would of distorted the carbon weave and would of looked crap, also because they are a 2 part mould
-
Looks great if I do say so myself glad them cutouts came out ok, I had them cut out as close to the bolt as I could so it would give you enough room for your dampers
-
maybe it sounds differemt on the outside than what i hear inside? ill have to get someone to drive it while im outside
-
ay up mate, sorry ive been a bit busy with work and the carbon projects, im holding out a little extra, just waiting for a reply from EVO first, i want to keep it how they had it just in case im also looking for another type of exhaust ill be interested as well
-
no worries guys, i expected people to drop out, and there will be more to drop out yet i expect, im still having them made mainly because i can do them at cheaper prices the reason the carbon replacements cant be made is due to the tabs and clip, not because they wont flex but because they cant physically be made, the mould will be impossible to make, and the carbon will be to difficult to craft
