all i did was do a search for engine problems, engine failures, and a whole load come up, even now ive just been on and read a new topic about another new owner with a blown engine, this was the main reason i didnt buy the rx8 in the first place and glad i didnt

i was looking at the rx8 231 before i bought the Zed, its pretty slow really, and that one is but ugly also that one is way way way over price, i got offered one at a dealer for 6995, that was an 05 with all the extras available including all the Sat Nav plus ive only heard bad things about the engines, blowing up here there and everywhere on the forums

thanks for the welcome guys.. managed to sort the headlight washers with a shove,,,, i think they are catching on something so ill have a better look when the weather is better.. as for the suspension, it does seem to rattle so ill jack it up and see if theres anything loose, other than that ill take it to the garage tommorrow, sooner rather than later from past experience

Well the headlight washers come out on every third windscreen wash as im aware and are supposed to return, after each spray as such!, Have they been stuck out from your first spray as or did they work and say the last one stayed stuck out? With the rattle, not a clue mate, is it a rattle or a squeak/creak ? its a rattle, doesnt do it all the time just when driving either rough road or bumps, the headlight washers are still out, it was the first time id used them as i was pushing buttons here there and everywhere

yeah both of them, wierd, ill have another look later once its stopped raining, and another thing theres a rattle which sounds like its coming from the from right suspension, anybody had any experience and may know what it is?

Well guys im a fully fledged Z member, I went to pick my Z up today Spec as follows UK Nismo Azure Blue 53 (276) 69000 miles FNSH tax and tested i managed to haggle him down to 8550, everyone think thats a good price? im loving it, especially the noise and when i flew passed my old celica 190 with ease, cant wait to go out and clean it all now, bit shocked at the MPG though, ill drive a little more eco from now as i was doing 16.2 but managed to get it to 24.7 on the motorway which wasnt so bad this is the only picture i managed before it gets dark but ill put more up when ive cleaned it

ive been to see it, it seems to drive well, although i wasnt driving which i will be next time i go, to check about all the things that are on the buying guide

im interested in buying a 350z ive found one i like but i would like to know how much you guys think i should pay for it? buyers market and all, so.... Its a 53 reg UK azure blue Non GT with the nismo kit and rays bodywork looks fine, maybe in need of new tyres in the next few months interior could do with a clean, quite standard, but with BOSE system currently at around 70000 miles full service history needs taxing at the end of january, MOT in july anyone think of anything ive missed?

i did have, its been taken off autotrader at the moment though, he said he will wait until i get back to him tommorrow, so he sounds desperate to get rid(not sure if thats good or bad), he is going to afganistan and wants to buy a house before he goes, its a azure blue nismo kit for sale for 10k, but im going in with 8750 with the intentions to haggle the car is a uk and has full service history, clutch replaced and new discs and pads all round its a nice example and to be fair couldnt find much wrong with it, the few stone chip, but thats to be expected, the tyres are near life end but i would off been changning them anyway as ive heard bad things about the bridgestones, also it was advertised as the GT but it wasnt just thankful that the Z doesnt have a common problem with the engine

good stuff, just that i got stung with my celica t-sport, they had a common oil piston problem, which cost me 2500 about 3 months after i bought the car maybe its me worrying to much

hi all ive looked through the guide to buying a z which is very good but didnt mention anything about the engine, has anyone ever had problems with the engines that could be a common fault? the car is a 53 plate with 69000 miles on so its done a fair bit but alot of it motorway miles from wales and back, also, would the engine need a cambelt change or are they chains? thanks Scott

i think all the price increases happen in the new financial year, april, so you prob would of been ok to renew it in jan, well thats what im hoping anyway

if all goes well ill come down and see it at some point, my bro lives in cambridge so ill see him at the same time, there is another z im looking at aswell, its a blue one with the nismo kit and thats going for 9000, so it will be a toss up between the two, if you pm me your mob number ill be able to ring you as soon as i know more on wednesday cheers Scott

i thought the tax went upto 300 and something next year and then in the 400's in 2010? does this mean at the end of january if i buy the 53 plate im looking at ill still get it for 210?

im loking at getting a Z at the weekend, most people seem to think its the paint thats the worst... how bad are we talking? paint literally falls off, on small impacts?

im looking at insurance at the moment, bell was cheap at 830 (24 - 2Y NCB) and when i rang up they couldnt do it any cheaper than the internet quote so.... i rang chris knott's and they beat the quote down to 820 with no volentry excess which was good, all they needed was the reference quote from bell. also sky were good, same insurance as chris knott's but a little extra at 850 that was the nismo kit declared as well
