so guys, i am slightly confused. what are the VED charges at the moment before 1 April 2009? i am buying a 07 reg zed. how much will VED be? also i'm getting 6 months tax when buying the car. will be able to top that up to a year to make use of a lower rate if before 1 April 2009? hope that makes sense. thanks.

hello guys, just wanted to see if any of you nice people live in or very near clacton on sea. am hoping to go look at a zed i put a deposit on. was hoping that some of you experts will be able to pop by and just to give me an opinion on the more mechanical side of things. would appreciate anyone who can help. cheers.

hello there mate, first of all congrats! hope you get what you wish for haha secondly, what an awesome car you got there. if i haven't already put down a deposit i would be seriously considering your car. it would've saved me alot of money as well. wish i hadnt rushed into that one. you may well get a call from me anyway. good luck with the sale anyway.

you can use these tyres at the front. infact the best reccommendation i can give you and many on the forum will agree, is get same tyres all round i.e. same make and brand, dont change the offset though i.e 245/45/18 rear and 225/45/18 at the front (thats if you have the rays) not sure what the 17s are thanks for that, exactly what i needed to know. getting the same tyres is easier for me anyway! does this mean you managed to find a 350 that you liked? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... gLetter=07 have agreed a price for the one above. am paying a bit over the odds to be honest, but i liked the ICE system that's been put in. i know it's not a 313, but i heard the difference between the engines are not hugely noticeable in terms of everyday driving and even at top speeds.

what size spacers are most recommended? i notice CS have 5mm to 20mm in stock. i heard someone had 50mm's on. just wanted to know what size are most popular. and just out of interest, are these sold in fours for all four wheels? thanks

yes, i agree i'm probably paying a little bit too much, but then i'm notvery techie so putting the stuff in will cost me alot anyway and i probably wont know what i'm doing. so i'm trying to make myself happy with that view. can anyone answer the question about the skipping system though?

hello guy, the zed i'm so excited about getting is this one: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... gLetter=07 i havne't actually seen the car yet, hopefully in about a week or so. i've just been reading about the known issues regarding the bose system skipping. in the advert, it says that it has a full bose upgrade stereo but then there is the alpine unit put in with the audiobahn subs. am i right in saying that the 6 cd changer is still there? and would i expect to have any skipping issues with it? if so will i be able to get it changed by nissan, like i've read forum members doing? also how will i be able to test whether the bose system is skipping when i collect the car? sorry if these are silly questions.

yes i know, the ice bits are excellent, they are exactly what i wanted really. i was just didnt know how much different it would feel to a 313 and whether this difference would over shadow the ice bits. are the top speeds and 0-60's hugely different between the 313 and 300?

hello guys, just been reading some more around the forum as i'm still waiting to go collect my first zed. the one that i'm getting as shown in the first post is the 300 bhp model. i was reading that this model isnt as good as the 313 or even the earlier 276? is that true and does the extra bhp make much noticeable differences on the drive? am starting to think maybe i should've gone for the 313. feeling i may regret this.

cheers guys, yeh i thought they were just the rays. i didnt realise that there were even more standard wheels. but for an 07 reg car, the rays are standard.

guys, just wanted to check something with you! on the advert of the car on the first post, it says that it's got upgraded alloys. What does that mean? as far as I can see they look standard. any ideas? thanks

Sarnie, it's not the 313, no bonnet 'hump' for the new engine to sit under... Too true, it’s a very good price… you all trying to make me feel bad now? it is 2k cheaper but it's done alot more miles and doesnt have the ICE bits. but def a good price. its only done 20k more, I'd rather have the money in the bank than a lower number on the odometer but each to their own true but i'm putting that 2k more down to the ICE to make myself feel good. and it's something i wanted anyway.
