  1. With help from Sarah (Chillis) and a mate (thanks for your help guys), and once again cutting my fingers, managed to fit the rear strut brace cover in carbon from Paul at Dream Custom! Unforunately, after alot of effort and not want to cover the strut cover with anymore blood, had to give up and settle for a bit of a bodge job. couldn't line up two of the popper clips on the back end of the strut so now there is a gap as in the photos below, as just left the two poppers off. cant really be seen unless over the top of it or at the side. so will settle for that for now. The strut looks great and have to congratulate Paul on a great job. will definitely want to get other bits done! thanks Paul and Sarah for helping getting it on.
  2. hmmm interesting, this is what's troubling me, very different responses!
  3. these look very interesting, and the red would be what i'm looking for in my interior plans. but just cant make up my mind whether i like them or not. what do others think?
  4. hi guys, just wondering if anyone around herts, north or west london have k1 exhaust that i can have a listen to? need to decide if it's too loud. as no point having one if i cant hear my music after spending loads on headunit subs and amps! cheers
  5. is it really that loud? even with the bungs in? i'll have to get some extra powerful subs and a more powerful amp in that case.
  6. Its alright mate, they will know a way of getting it to look repectable at least. I would have thought atleast you could flat it back and layer on some new gelcoat. Its not broken the weave completely anywhere (doesnt look to be any damage to the weave acutally), so carefully sanding back almost to the weave and layering back up with gelcoat should be possible. Carbonology should be able to send you the right stuff thanks buddy, that's making me feel a bit better.

  8. +1 I didnt expect that, gutted for you mate. +2 - send a pic off to Carbonology, those guys seem to know what they are doing, and will be able to give professional advise. I think thats a bit beyond glue and permenant marker i will do that now. you have no idea how broken i feel right now.
  9. thanks for all the messages guys! trying to make myself feel better and i definitely think the varis lip is cursed!! so here it is, the photo evidence of my horror story this morning. it looks pretty bad from the photos and there are quite a few dents and scuffs on the damaged area. any further comments on fix would be appreciated. Gaz, am looking on the carbonology website, not sure which kit to go for, any ideas? Thanks for all your help guys.
  10. hello guys, writing this at the end of a very stressful and unlucky week. having only got my new varis carbon fibre front lip from chilli's less than a week ago. just this morning, i was going down a very narrow lane with a lorry approaching me, so i pulled left to give as much space for lorry to past as possible. but in doing so i misjudged the front of the car and scraped the front left hand side of my zed which obviously means that i scraped the front left hand side of my new carbon lip quite badly. it is now all chipped and gone a bit white i know it's my own fault but just cant believe it's happened in less than a week. so i was just wondering whether these carbon fibre lips can be repairs like normal bodywork? whether i can get the damaged repaired somewhat? it will be so disheartening to know that i have completely wrecked a 400 quid lip in less than a week. any thoughts would be fantastic. thanks guys.
  11. Well done guys!
  12. cats and k1, isnt that going to be absolutely mental????? WHAT DID YOU SAY????? think you may need to add ear plugs to the list maybe
  13. cats and k1, isnt that going to be absolutely mental?????
  14. whole exhaust or just the back box? you have pm
  15. they are great wheels, will struggle to find better for the price.
  16. yes i'd recommend getting a local audio specialist to have a look. and also agree that you should get some subs as this will be noticeable. under the strut bar is a very common place for the subs to go. i have some photos up of mine in the for sale section as i'm selling my subs. have a look. you might be interested. if your not too far away, you can come and have a listen.
  17. more photos as requested, hope this is what you were looking for steve.
  18. nice find. my box looks very much like that one, it has the two Z signs on each side but it's for 2 x 10" obviously and not just one.
  19. yes, just don't know how much it's worth, i guess it' will cost quite a bit if got something to make one unless people make one up themselves.
  20. I see! the subs were in the car when i bought them and the owner before me made it up i think. the fit is actually just slightly out, so it slips back a little sometimes. i didnt actually think about sellling the box as well but if someone if interested will add a little bit onto the price. i'll see what photos i can get of the box tomorrow.
  21. yes it's under the strut brace. i'll try and take some more photos. what exactly do you want to see so i know how to take them? thanks Ian
  22. it was literally "IN" the car, not "ON" unfortunately
  23. Hello guys, after selling my Alpine headunit, am thinking about getting rid of the subs as well. So seeing if there is any interest on here. Have got the Audiobahn AW1006t 10" subs. Some of the details and specs below: 120 oz. Strontium Magnet Power Handling: Peak: 1800 watts RMS: 900 watts Frequency Response: 22Hz - 500Hz Sensitivity: 95dB 2.5" Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coils PHAT 2" Multi-layer Foam Surround Stamped and Balanced Aluminum Cone 6 mm Cast Aluminum Basket Multi-connect Lug Lock Terminals Subwoofer Size 10" Voice Coil(s) Dual (2 voice coils) Impedance (per voice coil) 4 ohms Peak Power Handling 1800 watts RMS Power Handling 900 watts Woofer Surround Foam Woofer Composition Aluminum Sealed Box Volume .5 - 1.0 cubic feet Ported Box Volume .65 - 2.4 cubic feet Sensitivity 95 dB Frequency Response N/A Xmax (millimeters) N/A Top Mount Depth 6" Cutout Diameter 9" These subs are absolutely fantastic and they look great as well. Gives great power and bass, very clear as well. It's a set of two. Photos of them in my car here. Have been told that one of the subs is running at reduced power, this might be fixable but to be honest, the difference is not noticeable at all. There is still enough power on the subs to pump your back as your are driving along. To get subs like this will cost around £350 at the present time. So just wanted to see if anybody is interested in these for somewhere around £175. Let me know, they are great subs. Think that is all!
