Hi all, There is also a Shell credit card from Citibank. This offers 3% cashback on all shell fuel and 1% on all other purchases. At the time I signed up, they were doing 6% cashback on first 3 months. Definately well worth it imo, especially when combined with the V-power card!

You have one of the best cruising GT's around and you want to put it on a train - that ought to attract a Sleep while moving!
-
So what does it claim to pick up? ive never heard of that one. Is it GPS/Radar/laser based also?
-
I think Louis may come up too, he was talking about flying up or getting the train. So that gives you another chance to play matchmaker Damn shame the Motorail doesn't run anymore cos that would have made it sooo easy!

I need to work out how long to go for, cos its a long way for a weekend but i cant afford to use up a full weeks holiday with work! Im thinking just a long weekend, but need to see what time i can get off

Which detector are you using Mark? Ive got the road angel professional, but unfortunately it decided it did not like wales and refused to remain switched on after it had picked up its GPS signal

Im considering it atm. Just need you all to promise something...all ye northeners must talk in ENGLISH! including Nixy

I have my insurance with Admiral too, i was 22 when i insured the Zed with them, im 23 now, but that age gain hasn't yet been reflected. Anyways, mine was about £850ish last year, with 5 years no claims and with it protected. And that also included my old man as a named driver which saved me about £450, would be £550 saved if i had added my mum instead but thought it was pointless as there was a chance (altho tiny) that i might actually let my dad drive the car. Anyways, make sure you have one of your parents as a named driver cos it saves a lot. Also tell them about the induction kit, they will only charge you £30ish extra and you have no worries of invalid insurance. They will only pay for replacement of standard airbox system if it did get damaged tho, but it saves the hassle of having to remove kit before it goes to the garage to be repaired. But yh, £805 is a decent price worth spending the extra few quid and tell em about any mods tho!

Photoshop FTW!

I can only blame the car in front!

Sounds good, all line up behind me in a field and ill attempt to coat you all without making the hole so big i cant get out!

He wasnt flat out then, cos they are a fair bit quicker than Zeds, even without the supercharger. The stage 1 exhausts sound pretty sweet too!

How friendly is the wales trip to your arse!

Thats what i was thinking, it was just in case the route was particularly hard on tyres. -

Im not in the office this week so i dont have any lunch breaks to play with . They will probs be fine as the motorway wont take anything out of them at all, its only the country lanes and twisty A roads that may cause increased wear. Also it seems a lot of tyre fitters dont stock the right size/brand that i want and i dont see the point in changing them now for tyres that i dont really want ^^ The only reason i was asking was because someone mentioned in the tyre mileage thread that it may be slightly less if you do the Wales and Jockland Hoon trips. -
Good point on the dimming, mine doesnt respond but i think that feature is disabled. You can get the adapter from halfords for £4 ish and its something like an iso male to something else. I just got the one that had the right ends! There are 2 diff types, 1 has a cable between the 2 plugs, the other is all in 1, both will fit fine but the cable gives more flexibility as it has a tendancy to drop out when trying to cram all the wires in. The steering wheel controls is def not the Aux on the front, you will need to check your alpine book as it will be marked in there. Mine was a pain in the arse to find, it may be that silver port, but im not 100% sure. If it is right, the headphone jack type plug will drop straight in. No harm in trying! It may be possible to do it without splicing. If you get it all connected, switch it on with everything out and start the engine. Then rev it while the music is on and turned up to a decent level. If you notice a strange whining noise, or anything that changes as the revs change then you will need a better earth and will have to splice it in.
