number 1: back on alpine HU there should be a steering wheel control input. number 2: dont touch the brown plug. You need an adapter that should have come with the HU to convert the aerial in the pic so it can connect to number 3. I think you ignore that silver thread screw, altho if it has writing next to it, that will tell you what its for. number 4: nothing, as the bose is running off the pre outs number 5: you need a double din fascia get it from ICT and cut the bar out of the middle, alpine fascia is not used. (not sure on this 1 actually as mine was the new Zed so its probably different) Also, you will probably need to splice in a nice earth between the chassis and the black cable and that should solve your dimming problem i think (someone else to confirm please) And GL getting all those fooking wires back behind the unit, mine is a serious pain and the top keeps popping up (altho it was doing this with the bose).

sounds like it might be similar to the turtlewax "wax it wet" stuff, altho that was very liquidy so this might be better. The wax it wet left a decent finish from just drying, but no where near as good as if it was dont properly.

Hi all, Quick question, my rear tyres are now very well worn, and i have no chance to replace them before the wales run, so i thought id better check that im not going to loose too much tread from the run. They were looking fine until i put it on the rolling road this weekend where it deposited a fair amount of rubber. This now brings my backs down to just under 3 mm left which is ok gripwise as long as its dry (rain: im gna be aquaplaning like a bitch!) Fronts still have a reasonable amount of tread left and im not planning to keep the bridgestones when i change so im going to have to do all 4. So the question is, am i likely to manage to get it through wales and home or should i be looking for somewhere to replace the tyres while im in wales?

Very unlikely as rear speakers tend to be Co-axial rather than components and i would imagine (but not checked) that they will be 6.5" speakers rather than the 5.25" ones. So if they happened to be the right size, and they were fitted, you would have to find somewhere to fit the tweeter or live with no high end from the back. Altho tbh these would be kinda wasted in the back.

ok, multimap reckons its 1h 35 for you to get from Ipswich to South Mimms which is where to M25 meets the A1, from there it is 1hr to the M40 Jct 8. Probs best to say 7 to 7:15 at the South Mimms services, its only about 20 mins for me to get there so ill aim to leave about 6:30 to 6:45 and get breakfast there if im early, or wait till the M40 cos were gna be quite early if we don't stop. You may want to consider the cross country route cos im sure there are some nice fast twisty roads as you head accross to the M40.

Bullet, are you heading round the M25 to get there or going on the A roads cross country? You are going to be heading accross pretty close to where I live, so wondering if you wanted to meet up on the way to the M40 services?

Didn't see these 6 months ago when i was looking for a new system. I ended up going for the new road angel but I would have considered this if I had found it! Altho having said that, there are so few radar systems used that cant be tracked on GPS databases that this device is a bit pointless now. Best thing would be a laser jammer (special garage door opener) combined with a GPS based system.
