Think the speakers are 4ohm. I seem to remember them being half normal ones, which I think is 8ohm. Either than or normally its 4ohm and they are 2ohm found this on another forum... Well buddy, you've fallen into Bose hell like so many others! The amps are always blowing out. the speakers are 1 ohm or so and wont work with anything but the Bose amp. and the Bose amp wont work well with anything but the original unit. Best way to deal with this is change out all the speakers (they stink anyway) run your own wires from the new speakers directly to the cd player location (bypassing the old Blose amp) and get a new NON FACTORY cd player like Alpine or a brand you prefer. There are "kits" that say they can adapt for blows (I mean Bose) but in actuality you will end up replacing part after part even if you can get it to work. Especially if the harness in the car is different than what's available, you are going to end up cutting the harness off and testing each wire anyway. Best method is described above, this way you only have to find power and ground and abandon the remaining wires. Heck for power and ground you can just run your own and abandon the entire factory harness all together! Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear but it seems to be the trend with these. Has anyone else taken out the speakers and had a look on the back of them? Think I need to figure out for sure before shelling out on speakers... might need to budget for an amp too and a headunit and cabling

I disagree. It's always good to hear both sides of the story, and in this case not only has Gaz argued his case but (more importantly) he has apologised for the mistakes made. I'd rather hear an honest answer like that than the complete denials we had from Rik recently. think husky meant that it shouldn't have got to the forum in the 1st place but been handled 'better' so the customer felt he got a very good service and instead posted a good pr post instead of this bad one.... btw, what happened with that other one?

Is it correct that the bose amp works on 1ohm and so does the speakers? if thats true it will be a royal pain changing speakers and or amp

Could still be heated seats... mine is a JDM 'base' with Leather Seats (heated) Non-rays and non brembo Bose stereo Xneniosiishi lights So I'm 'missing' Rays (later version) and Brembo + Cruise and audio controls on my wheel. The car above seem to have rays and brembo though... The honor game continues

Chadwick, do you think you can ask the owner what exhaust system that is? and take some more photos of it too? No need to mention 3 people on a Z forum have put their honor on the line...

find my bose system grand really... not the best system ever but if you're not audiophile or a bass junky you'll be fine.

leather seats look 'real' if you know what I mean, think most jdm's came with leather seats to be honest. The exhaust is deffo aftermarket, looks very like mine did when I got it. ZEES, only seem them on JDM cars, nice sound. He got carbon pilar and short shifter ... some nice mods there I'd say, would be nice to see engine bay. Wonder if that was a ICE setup made in Japan? Might still be Bose but not the headunit, try and find out the brand etc. Also ask if he imported it, if not who did he use and can he source the original auction report... pretty good if you can since they are pretty accurate.

? the manufacturers verified it defective then informed the supplier who informed me 2 weeks later (and only after I phoned up to check progress) The point I was making was it could have been a design fault or a defective unit, I am not in a position to say unfortunately. cool, feel for you mate 5 months is a looooong time to be waiting..
