  1. On monday my engine management light, Slip light and TCS light all came on. I reset the ECU. It came on again in the afternoon. Reset Again. Reset again Reset again.... Tuesday the car was fine but wednesday the lights were back on. I have left them on since because I'm taking the car into nissan on saturday to have some other work done on it and I wanted them to see the lights (didnt know if it was gonna be logged) and run their diagnostics. Today though, in traffic. I started hearing (and feeling) a slight knocking noise through my clutch pedal when sitting at traffic lights. Floowed by my car spluttering and what felt like the clutch slipping. I thought I wasnt gonna make it home. But when I went out to the car 30mins after being in the house to show my bro, the problem had gone. Do you think that the warning lights are because of the clutch being on its last legs? and did the clutch simply overheat in the traffic? Also, it may be just the fuel pump but I have never noticed it before. There is a strange sound coming from the drivers side rear. It sounds like someone is using a spray paint can or something. Little short bursts. Shhh, sh, shh, shhhhh. It probably is the fuel pump but I have a full tank and I'm sure I've never heard anythying like that before.
  2. Spill over at **REMOVED** forum does them for 62.50. You can click on the link at the homepage (need to signup first though) http://www.**REMOVED**.com/ Cheaper on ebay though
  3. I will be selling my JWT pop charger in a couple of weeks. Its only been on my car for 2 and half weeks. I'll let you know when up for sale
  4. I thought my clutch was up the swanee till I fitted one. Made a massive difference to my car. Made it a pleasure to drive in slow traffic. I think you will see most benefit in a manual car. For the money and ease of fitting, its well worth it.

    Different z

Stay away from the Z4. I once test drove a BMW and found it to be quite a pleasant drive. I was tempted to buy it but as I looked in my rear view mirror, I got a glimpse of my forehead, and guess what..... .......It didnt have the words C.O.C.K. wriiten on it, so the whole idea went out of the window.
  6. I used to kangaroo at low speeds when pulling off. Hill starts were a pain in the arse. I figured out that it used to do it most when I had the aircon on so I guessed it was electrically linked. I've just fitted my optronics grounding kit from Spill over at **REMOVED** forum. Its made a big difference to my clutch at low revs and low gears. Made everything a hell of a lot smoother. Idle at cold start is rock solid too. Try one £62.50 from spill or you can find them on ebay for around 40squid
  7. The guys from Hills salvage wants £225 a wheel, without a tyre. What a rip off. avoid Hills like the plague. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Nissan-35 ... .m20.l1116
  8. Dang it! I just blew £250 on polishing gear last night. I had to get stuff from several different suppliers cos they didnt have everything I needed in stock. 3 lots of P+P Always on the lookout for new suppliers though. Thanks, will bookmark him
  9. Actually Butane would probably do the trick and thats avaiable from most newsagents as lighter refill.
  10. I heard you can use a hairdryer on the dent to heat it u, then use a compressed can of carbon dioxide or oxygen to do the same thing. I think you can get a can of gassed air to clean your computer keyboard from any PC store. And I remember that boots used to sell pure oxygen in a can (for medicinal reasons methinks). Gets you high too!
  11. So I was on a private road this morning and decided to see if my car was limited to 122mph, thats what IanS16 told me JDMs were limited to. I only managed 118 then there was a sort of squeaky wind noise and no more speed. Is the noise my brakes being applied? If not, how does the limiter work? Has anyone had it derestricted and how much did you have to shell out?
  12. Because you are not gonna mess with the internals and break the magic 400 horses. Have you thought about a supercharger instead. It makes for a much cheaper install and when you come to sell the car is much easier to remove and put your car back to stock. You could get up to 75% of your money back for the supercharger on forums like these. People dont like buying 2nd hand turbos though. God told me this, I mean Big Phil (all hail)
