    Not daft at all, i did this in my younger days on an old capri and it made a right mess especially on the wheels that were polished, and all down the side of the car

    Get a detailer to have a look at it first . If you take it to a bodyshop and they put a buffer over it, they will cover it with swirl marks

    Yes, but if he has the specs of rust on the bonnet then the car isn't rusting.

    It could be specs of metal embedded in you paint. Has anyone been grinding metal near your car?

    You will not get rust on the bonnet, its aluminium.

    I did, and the only thing i miss is the 4 seats and really tight handling. Don't miss the revy engine though, the V6 is awesome
