Well Ben, Have a search about and decide for yourself. The interior was improved and the lights upgraded. The engine also received a make over gaining 20bhp but losing some torque. Real world it's unnoticeable. The rear lights are an easy and cheap upgrade but the fronts are an expensive swap. I'd say if you paid a competitive pre facelift price it'll be fine if you paid facelift money for it then I'd walk away to be honest. You won't regret it either way but just be happy you are getting your hard earned moneys worth!

Buy a post 2002 one as has already been stated (with the newer headlights) but prepare for big bills. A lot of work requires the engine to be pulled and quite a large number of the first 996s had reliability issues due to swapping to water cooling.

I'd expect a similar car to what I own if I was in an accident. If the jeep was smashed I'd expect a 4WD and if the Zed was done I'd expect something sporty.

Will need rear spacers to fill the arches and possibly fronts. You'd have been better getting a 30 profile too. Might have been asking before ordering!

when your right a post just under the subject bar is a load of buttons B, i U quote code list= [*] img url album etc the last on on that line is a youtube button. press it. and you get this ..... then just copy and paste the web address from the youtube page the vid is on in the middle and viola I did happen try that youtube button, but it only posted up a succession of letters and numbers. I didn't use the URL though I used the 'Embed' link from Youtube....maybe that's where I went wrong!! Just use the url. The last link appeared by magic.

Yes and no. I have been in contact with both Alex and Mark@Abbey. We don't have final figures but we would have to pay for the Uprev, Dyno time, flights and hotel. We are looking at somewhere around £550 for each car approximately. The cost of Uprev is just under £400 so the extra money is what you it costs for Abbey to come to us.

I think the 8 series is a lovely looking motor!

Or bought it at a discounted price. This is the type of car that has caught people out though. It pays to do your research!

Emmmm, yes I have. It's legal (minus a couple of bolts...) It is correct size, colour, spacing and border. And I wasn't preaching, just merely pointing out the legalities as I have been given a copy of them a couple of times by the local constabulary.

Remember the legal implications. The plate must be yellow, the text a certain style etc etc. For show use though anything goes!
