  1. Hi and welcome Hope you enjoy being part of our club
  2. Ill have a look and see if there are any technical ways we can ensure the simple bits are followed (post numbers images attached etc). Other than that, we will try and spot them, or there is always the report post button. There are other technical issues affecting the site at present, so this will have to take a back seat for now though..
  3. She was on the secret millionaire some time ago.
  4. Heres a few interesting stats.... as I just know there will be people who find this interesting - honest... The clubs forum is now seeing over 50,000 visits per month. Those visits result in over 800,000 pages displayed each month. Individual "hits", or items loaded is now over 14 Million per month, and sees us delivering up to 100GB each month. At peak times we are delivering 40 pages per minute, with some brief periods seeing one page displayed every second.
  5. Careful - you know who you sound like saying that to Jay dont you
  6. I think they look very nice indeed. Hard to see from the side profile, but how well do they fill the arches? You just know someone is going to say "needs spacers"
  7. It is fairly evident to the team when an individual appears, makes 15 quick posts in half an hour and then sticks an advert up. As others have pointed out, this is not how we run our community here. It is not admag or ebay. It is a site and club provided by owners, for owners. Traders who pay for the priviledge of selling items here are the only people who could get away with postiong up adverts and contributing nothing else. Of course most choose to contribute too as it builds good customer relations and confidence, though this is deviating from the topic. There were a multitude of ways in which you could have approached this. Contacting the team via pm or email stating that you had an item that may be of interest but you did not have the post count or the desire to be part of the community as you were already involved with the VW scene. You could have posted them on ebay and then just sent a polite email asking if we would mind pointing them out on here. You could have asked on the vw boards if there was anyone registered here who met the post count requirements that could post them for you. The list goes on. Your choice however was to make 15 quick posts in about 20 minutes, many of which were one word replies in welcome threads etc and stick up an advert, then proceed to argue with the team that your actions were valid and that clearer validation of the rules were needed in future. You know full well your intentions were solely to use our Z community to sell a Z related item. If you can't see how this would annoy the thousands of people here that have contributed over several years to the community as is, the team who give their time to continue to provide this club free of charge to its members, and also the traders who pay for the privilidge of advertising items, then I fear there is little we can do to resolve this. Thread locked.
  8. Blade coupe spotted on Chesterfield Road the last couple of mornings on my way to work around 8:50.
  9. As a matter of pure coincidence I just recieved my corporation tax bill today.
  10. Yup he probably will, which I quite agree is ridiculous. But such is todays culture that leans toward compensating and legislating for the minority who seem to lack a bit of common sense. Back on topic though, I would agree with 9 points totted up already the person should have been driving (and parking) as if they were constantly on their driving test.
  11. If it helps her case - I can find an article on a chap from round here, who parked on a busy main road, on the zigzag keep clear markings at a crossing, opened his door, leaned back in to retrieve a phone while sticking arse into the main road and was dragged under a lorry ripping various limbs off.... The guy has been cleared of all blame, even though he parked illegaly and put himself in the road rather than going round to the passenger side of the car to retrieve the phone, the lorry driver is now most likely to be chrged, and the chap is possibly going to receive millions in compo. Yet he was the one who parked illegaly in the first place. So here you have one chap in line for millions because he actually had an accident whilst parked in a dangerous position, and your friend is in line for punishment. Good to see there is some continuity.... http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/Big-claim ... 5925597.jp
  12. A little unpublicised point from Mr Darling... We have all heard the headline figure that earnings over £150k will be taxed at 50% - well the item that is kept quiet is that once earnings go over £100K, for every £2 over that level, your tax allowance (ammount of money you can earn tax free, currently £6475) is reduced by £1, until it reaches zero at earnings of £112,950. What this actually means is that for the money between £100k and £113k, the effective rate of tax is 60%. Add on the National insurance, and if you are an employer, the employers National Insurance and corporation tax and its a chuffing joke. And people wonder why those that have the means to register themselves as non doms, do so....
  13. Update - Polls now fixed - sorry for the delay. Smilies next on the list

  15. Neil, have you tried the main fuses (dont know where they are on the 2.5 model). Are there any other lights coming on on the dash, or is it blank? May indicate that the main fuse went when installing the new battery?
  16. Change made - when you log in you are now returned to the page you were last viewing
  17. I think what he means is that you can browse as a guest and then when you log in it takes you back to the post you were reading when you decided to login. Will see if this is a quick addition - however as above, the login button is always visible, it just takes you back to the index page on completion.
