  1. Sarnie - dont forget the last set of GT4 wheels that sold on Ebay went for over a grand too - so the cost can be offset against that I suppose.
  2. I have to say these look quite good - if I had a coupe, it would certainly be on my list of things to do. Thanks for taking the time to post these up!
  3. This really gets me annoyed - my brother in law (well will be when I get round to tying the knot) has had his Yaris done all down one side. Although its not the most expensive of cars, and its not in A1 condition - its the principal that yanks my chain. If I ever see this being done or find out who did it to any vehicle I owned, they would receive a visit from some paid "acquaintences" of mine. Probably while they were out walking the dog or somewhere less "out of view" (queue the lecture from any coppers ) This infuriates me so much, if I had it done to my Z, I would be well and truly gutted - and absolutely enraged at the same time. I wouldnt care what age they were that did this, they would certainly be losing some portion of their mobility.
  4. Its in Beligium. Got to look into postage costs for the wheels from the UK, anyone got any ideas?
  5. Yup - Ive got a set of standard 18" wheels. Got almost new tyres on (covered approx 3500 miles before being taken off). For sale post here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... 22&start=0 They have been for sale for ages, and I want to get shut so I can get the golf back in the garage before I have to scrape the ice of the windscreen. Make me an offer.
  6. I think its the paint protection equivalent of the resistor that adds 40+bhp. Having seen the jobs done on Vals and others, and imagining how hard it must be to line sheets of adhesive up with that level of accuracy, I wouldnt dare give this a go at home. I'd end up with creases all over the place, and make the front end look gash. On nother note, the paintsheild discount seems to be one of the most popular on the forum - thanks again guys for sorting this out.
  7. I was won over by the 360, and got one Monday - havent payed online much yet, still working my way through Ghost Recon. Thinking of getting Tomb Raider and kameo today though. Just to keep me busy ove the weekend. Ive downloaded about 6gb of demos through XB live so far too.
  8. Dorian, Thanks for your kind words. Dont know what to say other than good luck with whatever car you choose next. Do feel free to pop on here and input if you feel you can or want to. It was very much down to support from yourself and others in the early stages that prevented me from chucking the towel in. Several months later we have a thriving community, filled with plenty of chat, and hopefuly enough technical info for all. Although I put a lot of work in here, it has to be said so do all of the others, and I don't think the place would be the same or even exist without each and every one of them. Thanks again for your help & input into the site Dorian. It will always be apprecaited. Sorry to see you depart dont be a stranger... Chris.
  9. May I congratulate you on posting one of the most helpful first posts ever! Thanks a bunch for this - the TSB will be going with me to the dealers when I can find time to take the car in. Thanks again! PS - welcome aboard
  10. Ive removed the image that may cause offence guys - just in case anyone stumbles upon it at a late date - hope thats ok.
  11. I was going to say that the one I have seen ended ZZZ. Well - Ill get a spotted card to them one day Im sure.
  12. Ive seen his one too Tim, both times whilst walking to the bank In Clay Cross. Never been at the right spot on the pavement or near enough to offer a spotted card either.
  13. Time to bring this one to a close I think. However may I just clear something up. With regard to the "last edited by" thing.... This has NEVER been "fixed". Anyone editing their own post after replies have been made, will always have the "last edited by" tag appended under their signature/pic. This is a standard feature of the forum, cannot be turned off/on without serious changes to the software on the server, and as the only person who makes these changes, I can assure you none have been made to change the way this works. Anyone editing their own posts since this forum went live will have had the "last edited" attached. There is however an issue whereby if an admin/mod changes another users post, it does not show up that the post was edited. In my opinion this needs fixing. Depending on how much code needs changin/adding to make this possible, it may be easier tohave a policy whereby admins/mods changing anyone elses posts other than their own, should leave a little note in smaller text to advise if the post has been changed, and why. i.e. (edited by chesterfield to remove unnecessary swear filter work arounds) Or something along those lines. This then brings us on to another matter, the "tidying" of threads. On various occasions, people have had threads taken way off topic, sometimes resulting in people having to start their entire thread again, just because people keep posting off topic comments one after the other. There is nothing wrong with freindly banter, but it seems that once this "banter" gets going, everyone involved wants to have the last word, resulting in page after page of absolute drivel sometimes. We have had complaints that people find the forum "messy", and when matters are taken to try and keep things a little more tidy, we get cries of "censorship". All the mods on the site give their time freely, and we ask for nothing at all in return - many of us have never run a forum before, and I for one can say its harder work than I thought it would be. All I would ask is that anyone who takes issue with the way things are run, rather than just moaning or complaining about it, offer us some help on how things could be improved - offer us some help on solutions to the problems. We are trying to do whats best for all the members, but it would appear that the statement "you can't please all the people all the time" never seemed more appropriate. We (mods) do talk amongst ourselves to try and work out how to resolve issues, and it would appear that sometimes we make the wrong choices. If anyone else fancies giving up endless hours of their time freely, just to have it thrown back in your face when you try and make things better and make mistakes - just let us know, you are welcome to join us
  14. Ive read the spec, and all I can see that it has over a UK spec GT pack is: The wheels, the bodykit and a reverse park camera. A new UK roadster would be approx £30k. But then that would have (over the car shown) A UK warranty, A stereo that is not in need of a Band expander, (or would have a factory fit stereo) Someone would need to be off their rocker to pay £36k for that. I reckon a decent price for it would be £22k given its import status\lack of warranty.
  15. Hmmm - thats not showing an edit at all be me.... Very strange. This most certainly needs fixing. However, it does track when an admin/mod changes their own posts. Ill see what can be done to fix this bug.
  16. Hmmm - needs some work... It tracks everyones changes, including admins/mods, but if an admin/mod changes a users post, it shows up as if the user themselves edited it, not the admin/mod. This needs correcting to show who exactly edited the post and when.
  17. edit made - and it is logged under the signature pic. There is no way this can be removed for anyone, without serious editing of the forum software. I am looking at changing this so it tracks more items, as Im not certain if it tracks changes to other peoples posts by mods/admins... Ill edit one above and see.
  18. That is not correct, all edits are noted. Say person A makes a post, and person B replies - if person A then edits their original post, the edit will be logged - the log of this edit appears under the users signature. If person A edits their post BEFORE any replies are made to it, then the edit is not tracked. This goes for all users, including admins/mods. For example, as soon as a reply is posted after this post of mine - I will edit this post. You will then see that the edit is logged (under my signature pic). This is the edit I made after the replies... Note the "edited 1 time in total under my pic"..
  19. Not me - ours was tucked up in bed.
  20. Tell me about it - I just bought a 360 premium, extra controller, 12 month live subscription and ghost recon today!
  21. Really enjoyed the day out! The weather was fantastic (considering we are fast approaching mid september) The event organised on the day were fun and helped everyone get around all the cars rather than hudling in their own respective groups. Nice to meet up with people again, and meet some new faces too. The drive over and back from Chesterfield was fun too! Well done the Z club for putting on a great day - hopefuly it will continue to grow year on year, it certainly has the pottential to do so. Having 5 Z's on or around the driveway at home when people stopped off for a cuppa on the way back was quite funny too!.
  22. We can change it if you like - the competition seemed to flop a bit though.
  23. If there are two known TSB's out, then as you say, the dealers "should" be aware of it... What do you reckon the chances of my dealer saying.. "never heard of that before" are....
  24. Just to bring this back to life again - I now have the clicking rear axle problem. Less than 7k on the clock. Has anyone had this successfully resolved? Has anyone got theTSB's for it. At least that way I can go into the dealer armed with "anti fob off" paperwork. Have Nissan actually acknowledged this as a problem? Ive paid not far off £30k for a car that has developed noises I would expect from a 15 year old ford escort, and the Nissan dealer network seem oblivious to it. Great work Nissan - how to ensure customers spend their next £30k elsewhere. In all seriousness, I reckon this is something we need to take up en-masse to get some sort of resolve, if not recal from Nissan. Clicky rear axle meet somwehere near Hertfordshire, say Rickmansworth way?
  25. Wait till you drive it with the top down - Youll be after a roadster Z.
