I actually havnt, I just messaged to let them know its more than I anticipated due to requiring new tyres a new/ repaired wheel, possible replacement bushings, full service and all fluids, missing service history etc. I had said id be interested as I need a project and the owner came back saying its a 20k project.

Brake disks look like they need replaced so that would be new pads also, looks like there is a fair bit of work returning this nismo to safe roadworthy condition. A project, but one that could bite you back I suspect.

I have STS rear mounted single turbo kit in my Nissan 370Z. Does anyone have original certificate/leaflet of this kit? I live in Finland and that is needed to get car in traffic with turbo. The certificate shows, among other things, power and boost pressure. If someone have it please contact me. Copy of it is enough, and willing to pay some of it. Thanks a lot Kind Regards

Checking things further it seems its last mot ran out in April 22 so seems the nismo has been sitting outside unused for 4 years, I think this might dramatically lower its worth,lack of service history etc.

It is not a rumour, I imported mine late 2024 and duty was 2,5% instead of 10% due to it being a jap car manufacured in Japan. It is same for companies as well, as long as it is manufactured in Japan. It would be a different story for Japanese cars manufactured outside of Japan though.

I'm looking forward to it. Jazz makes for a great daily driver but lacks just a bit of power 😅 Question for those reading. I want to change over to coilovers soon. I'm running a Bilstien pro kit at the moment (fixed dampers and springs) but the front is way too low. The wheels are nearly in the liners. Not sure if it's sagged over the years but it's not great. Plus as it is, once the front splitter goes back on, I won't get it on my drive. So I know everyone goes for BC's but any thoughts on the Tein Flex Z's? Car will just be fast road use. I have no plans to take it on track etc. Both have damping adjustment which is great, so just wondering on peoples thoughts before I spend the money.

I remember Adrian Flux calling me regarding the 350Z in 2014 The quote given was way too high. I went with an Irish company who gave it for 1200 pounds. Well im seeing new M2 for 60 on Autotrader assuming the order would be £65,000. Nissan want to sell the Nismo for the same price apparently. The new M2 will be Xdrive and will probably be similarly priced £65000. An appropriate price for the Z GT new would be around £45,000 and Nismo £55,000. The Z sport is a base model should be £39,000. If rumors are true about current imports from Japan occasionally having discounted duties or HMRC discretion. Figures are based on what a brand new GT (ST) cost in Japan of around £37,000. Its probably less now the hype is dead. Bare in mind you can import these at 10k less with an abundance of swappable parts from the 370Z and Q60. Service parts are similar. Theres 2 for sale in Birmingham. Decent specs. Then again id never buy a car from Birmingham.

I still suspect there could be more issues hiding due to lack of use.

Looking rather sorry for itself. If it hasn't run for 2 years I'd want to check oil, remove the plugs, scope the bores if you have the kit, turn it over on the crank by hand, pull the fuel pump fuse and crank and build oil pressure, then fire it up before I gave a penny, but if it starts and runs 18k seems reasonable. Nice project to rescue, a detail will work wonders.

Looking up its history it might have had its last mot 4 years ago which would lead me to believe its off road three years at least, id worry about unseen issues like moisture in the engine, corrosion on bearings perished rubber etc. I know with bikes its better having higher miles than none.

That is such a shame! Hi and welcome along, I as above would be offering £12-£15k I assume it has no MOT either? There could be problems underneath also as its been sat for 2 years... However they are fantastic cars!
