NIsmo85 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Afternoon all, I recently took my car in for a service at Richardsons in Colchester and the report back stated the prop shaft is showing signs of wear. I've looked at replacement parts which don't seem to expensive. How much of a big job is it to get changed out? i.e time/labour costs? I just don't want to get shafted on the price (pun intended) Cheers, Paul. Quote
Stutopia Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Mine came out as part of the clutch change. Didn't look especially tricky for my techs to get in and out at all. Quote
bizz Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 It's a simple job to do. shouldn't cost a great deal to do or take long at all. I have the prop off my Z surplus to requirements if you're looking for one Quote
AliveBoy Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 4 bolts and then pull it, it's literally that simple, fitting is the reverse 1 Quote
evilscorp Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 It's carbon fiber so you can cut up your old one and make a bunch of those hoop earrings. Personally I would get under the car an have a look as it's easy to see if they are taking the **** or if it's frayed and cracked. Quote
gareth29 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Whats actually wearing on the propshaft? Quote
