veef13 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) Bit of a longshot, but does anyone in the local area have a couple of wheel nuts for Rays? Previous owner has cross threaded them and I'm in the middle of fitting spacers and two won't go back on and I won't force them! Grr Edit: stealers can't get any til Tuesday and need car today really Edited November 8, 2014 by veef13 Quote
mikejbry Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Can't you get yourself to gsf or eurocarparts?? Quote
mikejbry Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Also is it the nuts themselves that have been cross threaded, or have the hubs been cross threaded? Quote
veef13 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Going to try eurocarparts in a mo, thanks The nuts are shot, the threads on the studs were not in best shape but usable with the nuts provided in the spacer kit. Will need to replace them one day Quote
glrnet Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 PM Keyser or Buster at the Zedshed, they are both nuts!! No seriously pm them Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear Quote

veef13 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Thanks for the replies guys. Heading over to folk house for a family do now, so will leave car at home and take the wifes. Reading online 4 out of 5 nuts if torqued correctly, which they are, are perfectly safe to drive on short term?!? Cheers Buster may well take you up on that. Will PM in a moment Cheers all Quote
mikejbry Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I snapped a stud on my 540i, it broke off in the hub, so I went to ecp on 4 bolts to pick up a new hub and a couple of studs. No issues obviously, so don't worry too much. If you have 2 which are naff, borrow one from the other side Quote
