Just taking a break from the ironing and bread baking (joke) to ask a quick question.

 

There is a little push button that says auto on it and I have no clue what it's for - it's very small and down in the area of the VDC switch - what is it?

On Imports this is an Auto-Pilot button which when used in conjunction with SatNav the car drives itself to the destination..... Or so I was told by a Dealer

I had an auto electrician helping me with something yesterday and even he didn't know what it was - he thought it was something to do with the folding mirrors but it would appear not.

fold automatically when the ignition is turned off button perhaps.

Well it does on mine anyway

yeah that's it - but it doesn't seem to do anything - although I use the alarm fob for opening and closing doors etc - mmm.

 

By the way, I knew I could rely on you for a sensible answer as always!

But hey, if the Import version have the ability to make the mirrors dance, why is it beyond the wit of any auto-electrician to manage it on UK 350s? I want that gadget.

I think with you having a UK alarm system fitted it has interfered with the original Jap system.. mine just has the Jap system that works from the original Nissan key

Yup, dips the mirrors when reversing...

 

My mirrors folded when I locked it when I picked it up, now they dont, I must have pushed a button (yea, like all of em, oh what does this do?)...
