Exhuast - perhaps a silly question

Hello All, this may sound like a silly question... I have seen a 2007 exhaust for sale on this forum, but I wanted to know whether it would easily fit a 2003 JDM car?? Many thanks, Al

When you say exhaust, what do you mean? The Backbox itself will fit fine, but the y-pipe and midpipe are different.

Hi Ekona, I am looking for a back box, mid-pipe to connect to the y-pipe. Although the y-pipe is also being offered in the sale. Basically looking for a straight swap as my mid-pipe and back box joint have failed, but have already had a section welded in, so the flange that usually mates the two is missing.

Okay, so in that case no, a 2007 HR exhaust would not fit a 2003 DE car.

 

A good exhaust place should be able to weld you a new flange on easily enough. However, I'd be tempted to use it as an excuse for an entire new exhaust anyway, but that's just me

Get a different exhaust, OEM you're just going to run around in circles welding this and that, buying this and that etc.

The 2007 system will fit a 2003 model, the only parts of the OE system that won't fit will be the cats between the DE and HR, cat back the systems are the same...
