Hi All,

Having some issues with the front washers. Having searched the forum, I have already tried checking the Y piece and non return valve, both of which appear to be fine.

Next stop would be the fuses, but I am having some difficulty identifying the right one? The labeling doesn't designate a specific for the washers, only the headlamp washers. Are they one and the same?

Failing this I assume that it will be a new motor.

Apologies for starting a new thread that's been investigated a million times, but even with search, I still don't see any answers that help

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Cheers,

Kev

A new washer pump can be obtained from Clark MotorSports A trader on the forum

If you can get someone to use the front windscreen washer & rear windscreen washer independently of each other that may help as you will be able to hear whether or not the motors are actually pumping.

If they are not then I'd start by checking the fuses before moving on to replacing the washer pump motors if it isn't a fuse problem.

You say the Y-piece is clear which is easy to check but how did you check the non-return valve?

Mine seemed to be ok (as some water came through) when I had a problem with my front washer jets but after replacing it with a new one it worked great again but alas only for a short time. It failed within 3 weeks hence why I eventually drilled it out which has solved the problem for good.

My front washer went, was the pump. Got mine cheap from euro car parts. To motor was just inside the drivers side front wheel arch, remove the wheel and plastic can get to the washer bottle.
