Gsxraddict Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi all. My partner has just bought a 350z. Must say we love the car. But we have an exhaust blow on the mid pipe/back box so im lolling for some advice on a new exhaust. We want something not much louder than standard and definitely not droany/deafening at motorways speeds. Any help will be much appreciated. Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Welcome to the forum, the Milltek system we do would fit the bill for an OEM replacement or if you wanted some more volume then I'd opt for the Cobra Sport system we do, feel free to drop us a call, email or PM and we'll be happy to help... GMballistic Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Welcome aboard. Can't go wrong with CS above tbh. Stainless steel exhaust systems as well so once fitted just forget about it as it'll probably last longer than the car. Quote
Dean_1983 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 The cobra is what's in my car and I love it ... No drone at 60/ 70 on the motor way but nice and loud under power Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
RafsZed Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Why isn't the standard exhaust seen as a good exhaust, what are the main reasons for upgrading it other then making the car sound louder? Quote
Gsxraddict Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 What sort of prices are these exhausts from the y pipe back. Thanks Quote

Gsxraddict Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 I like the exhaust not on the original. It's just corroded so I'm hoping to get a stainless system. Just hope an aftermarket system won't take that great v6 noise away with a drone Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 An aftermarket system will compliment the V6... Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Why isn't the standard exhaust seen as a good exhaust, what are the main reasons for upgrading it other then making the car sound louder? They're made from Mild steel and tend to break in the same areas, so the OEM option costs a lot more than the aftermarket stainless steel option... Quote

Gsxraddict Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 What are the scorpion system and blue flame systems like? Noise. Quality etc Quote
jumping350 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 yeah upgrade as its failed once so another oem is just waiting to fail again replace that with another oem and the next one is waiting to fail again and so forth Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 What are the scorpion system and blue flame systems like? Noise. Quality etc The Scorpion would be a good option for stepping up from the OEM system, the Blueflame is louder... Milltek is closest to OEM with a much nicer sound to it... Quote
hawker1986 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) +1 here for the milltek if you want to keep it as near to OEM as possible, had a cobra on ours for a bit but the drone at A-road/motorway speeds was annoying. Sounded good with your foot down though Also I can recommend CS if you need anything Mitz and Andy were great sorting ours out. Hawker Edited May 28, 2014 by hawker1986 Quote
