waltzinblack Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Are there any legal/MOT issues with smoothing front reflectors and headlight washers? Such as this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55308-smoothed-front-bumper/ but with the headlight washers deleted. I'd really like to do it, but with all the EU laws in place about DRLs and curved bumpers etc for health and safety, wasn't sure if there were any implications of having it done. Quote
waltzinblack Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Of course.. I didn't think of aftermarket bumpers that don't have them. I guess it must be fine? I'm basically going to have the black "Z" badges front and back, reflectors and washers smoothed on the front and have the 370z indicators on the sides. Quote
tatooandy67 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Not sure but think if factory fitted then headlamp washers are a mot requirement although a friendly mot tester will not care If I'm wrong I'm sure someone on here will correct me....... Quote
-Bradders- Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I believe that headlight washers are only a mandatory if you have xenon headlights/projectors. so if you have standard headlights you will be fine with the no washers for an mot. Quote
LRF4N Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Uk zeds do have xenons in projectors as standard Edited March 24, 2014 by LRF4N Quote
