Hi guys,

Have just been and taken my dash apart partly as I was trying to remove the cubby cover and partly because I'm thinking of changing the head unit and thought I'd have a poke around and see how it works.

I followed this guide and all was going well until I got to step 13 removing the white wire clip for the oil/battery gauges. No matter what I tried I just couldn't get this unclipped pinching, squeezing pulling (hard!).

Anybody else had issues with this clip or got any tips/suggestions? Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Just push in the connector latch with a small screw driver fiddly the first time but then you will get used to it.

I find it helps to get my head up by the windscreen to see what I am doing.

Argh, I'm an idiot, I've posted this in the wrong section, I mean't to post it in 350z ICE.

Mods could this be moved please?

Yep I tried this too but it still didn't budge :(

Is the connector latch on the windscreen side or on the side towards the rear of the car?

From what I remember the actual clip faces upwards and is towards the windscreen side, but it is very stiff and I couldn't get my head round enough to see it.

Yep I actually did this but I think it's just really stiff, I'll try using pliers or tweezers to pinch and pull the connection as bare fingers doesn't seem to work for me. :)
