Alreet!

For the past couple of months the blowers have only been blowing cold air and now with the winter months hitting us I have to get it sorted. What part do I need and where can I get one?

Peace

It had a service before I bought it in June. Not 100% on what they did but I've got the car on the ramps on saturday when I get home so I'll drop the coolant and put new stuff in then. Hopefully that should sort it.

When you do the change, when my coolant was changed it took a few miles drive to work the air locks out. I just had to keep an eye on the overflow tank for a few days and top it up once.

Run the car upto temperature then pop the bonnet, there is a black coolant hose that runs into the cabin, next to the brake fluid reservoir, on the pipe is a bleed valve. Use a large phillips screwdriver, loosen the plastic screw a little (don`t remove as you WILL get BURNT) until coolant starts to seep out. then screw back in hand tight only, this should cure your no hot air problem. ( you will need to have you temperature controls set to HOT & blowers on)

This ^^^ beware the screw comes out quickly and can fall down into the engine bay and thereafter a goner!

U may have to squeeze coolant pipes to encourage the flow a little. These may be roasting hot also!

Shouldn't have to squeeze the pipe if at running temperature as the system will be pressurised,

Neil just likes squeezing things ;)

I had to do this with mines as the airlock was further down into the block

also it could be that your in auto mode for the heater, I have found that the warm air can come from the feet vents and cooler air from the highe up vents. Take it out of auto and select the upper vents manually to see if this shows that there is a blockage in the heating system
