*URGENT* How to remove OEM/Fit aftermarket Carbon bonnet??

Have just bought a carbon bonnet and need a guide on how to remove and fit!!

Remove the hinge mounting nuts on the bonnet.

Remove Bonnet.

 

Installation is the reverse.

 

Can be a bit of a faff on to get allignment of new bonnet right.

Do a google search and there is a guide on how to do it.

I doubt a body shop would charge very much to do it, I mean they could probably do it there and then, only thing is getting the bonnet to them as this was a pain for me ! !

If doing yourself, then deffo handy if a friend is about.

If you have bonnet struts, then you should be able to do it by yourself.

Done mine so often, i can swap a bonnet in 5 mins, lol

Forgive me, but is this not bloody obvious when you look at it? There's nothing hidden, nothing to catch you out, you can see the bracketry and bolts without any fuss.

 

I really, really cannot see how any one would need a guide for this. Especially not if you haven't even attempted it yet.

Oh and if not already done by the manufacturer, I'd highly recommend getting the new bonnet sprayed with clear lacquer

Ive never seen a carbon bonnet without clear lacquer on it... Unless it's a dry carbon bonnet or vinyl fakie?

The Varis CF Bonnet I have was pure gelcoat at purchase, hence my recent DIY refurb threads
