Fluke Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I still haven't started my install, but I have 2 tablets to choose from, I have the Nexus 7 gen 1 and a Nook HD 7". Both work with the TomTom GPS receiver I picked up for £6.00. I the nook is slightly smaller and has a better screen, it also will give me video out. I want to use it with my Appradio 2 for some dual screen coolness. Quote
bpmjames Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Here's a couple of better pictures of the final install I think I'm going to redo the trims at some point or make a fibreglass one. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2 1 Quote

Fluke Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I made a start on mine today. I am using a Nook HD, I plan on doing a write up and have been taking a few photo's as I go along. Quote
spursmaddave Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Thanks a lot for this guide Ads. It's helped me get my galaxy note 2mounted in the car. Here's a couple of pics, just need to sort out the trim round the edges. I used a push to make button and mounted it next to the seat switches. I also managed to use the oem latch for the cubby with a bit of trimming. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2 Just being OCD but I woukd move the extra button to the middle so the heated seat switches are either side, thats what I did Sent from the golf club... Quote
bpmjames Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Haha fair point and duly noted mate. It's easier to reach too. Might just do that Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2 Quote

The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 You should check out the Pioneer appradios. Look at my build thread. Much easier and simpler. Quote
bpmjames Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I have an appradio 2 but the apps are rubbish. It's the best looking double din unit though. The tablet is just perfect for installing Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk Quote

Bought the ARLiberator app so now I can use my head unit to control my phone's functions on the head unit. Quote

bpmjames Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I use a rooted Xperia z and appradio liberator. Every time I plug it in it takes ages to connect. Got fed up with it in the end. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk Quote

Adem Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 It looks like the app radio would be good with the mirroring to your phone thing but I'd still rather have the tablet and head unit seperate (Mainly for the CD/DVD). I love the setup ive got now it all works seemlesly together and I'd recomend it to anyone that has the time to do it Quote
