I currently have the JWT Pop Charger, and would like to know if it would be a worth while modification to change it to the K&N Typhoon, or any other intake kit for approx the same value?

Im always concerned about heat soak on a cone intake so close the engine, but have also considered one of the intake vents cut into the front bumper along with the JWT which I would assume should help intake temps?

Any advise would be great?

Thanks.

Unless you have an Uprev or other ECU fitted, it will make zero difference.

Stick with what you have, even if it was tuned for it you're talking the best part of 1 or 2 hp extra. For the cost of the Typhoon, it's not worth it IMHO. Put that money towards an Uprev, much better value. :)

Well I am planning on getting it Uprev'd so this is the time now to put the best I can on ready for the map etc.

But thanks for your input, I may stick with it for the sake of a few extra bhp if thats all it may add..

If it's power you want, then grab the revup airbox or just the inlet trumpet and retrofit to yours) and pop a decent panel filter into it.

If you're wanting the best you can before an uprev then fit a stock air box with the venturi cone in place.

EDIT: Dan beat me to it.
