Mike Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 (edited) I'd wait a few weeks if I were you before spending a rebate *digs in the draw* ah, here it is. Last year I got a cheque for £219.60 from the Tax man, as a rebate after they calculated I had overpaid. One week later I got another letter, this time telling me they'd deduct £220.60 after they'd calculated I underpaid. So two recalculations, two letters, one cheque - and all to recover £1. Yeah you should just randomly get a letter from revenue and customs I tried to chase them for one but they said if you are owed anything then they automatically send you the letter so it's not a case of chasing them That was the first one in 3 years! Dunno how they calculate it! They must just make it up Quote
