Nope, tried it in a car park too just in case, ESP on, hard turn, full power, spins a bit but then grips

Shut up! You're all scaring me! :scare:

Don't worry. I've had my Zed nearly 6 months now ( :teeth::teeth: ) and haven't managed to get it unstuck yet. Just keep the ESP on until you're more confident and you'll be fine.

The Z can give you a fright on the exit from a roundabout if you are too heavy on the right foot, but it is a pussycat compared to one of the first cars I drove legally. It was my old man's Ford Corsair 2000GT and it was a nightmare. :scare:

He put a bag of sand in the boot to try to give it more grip in the winter, but it still slipped all over the place. It (and a mk 1 Escort) put me off Fords for life.

There are plenty of good internet resources or books about safer driving techniques (eg roadcraft - the police driver's handbook (for an inexperienced driver this could be a good read)). Although I don't religously practice the system detailed in Roadcraft, I did find it a useful read in regards to observation/hazards/position etc.. it does have some notes on skid control and cornering forces etc too :)
