My New Z

Just thought I would share some pictures of my new Zed.

So from the day I put the deposit on the car it was a painful three week wait until I finally picked her up last Thursday but have been enjoying her too much to upload pictures :D

Reason it took so long to pick the car up was the car had private plates which he wanted to keep so had to wait for the DVLA to sort out all that.

Ok so this is the car I came from

Corsa looked nice, had nice Recaros, went quite well for a hot hatch and sounded immense. The handling was awful a lot of body roll, did not feel confident chucking it into a corner at any kind of speed at all which kind of defeated the point of owning a hot hatch  .

Ultimately though I just had too many problems with it and it cost me a lot of money putting things right, owning this car was a total love hate relationship I have to say.

So was looking for something (in order) Reliable, Good looking, Fairly quick and would not cost the world to own. So was thinking German or Jap route. Narrowed it down to either the Z or a 135i, went for the Z as I was more bothered about looks and less about speed the Z well it looks much sexier than the BMW!

and here it is

Needless to say this is in another league to the Corsa and overall a much nicer place to be. Very happy with the car and it was definitely worth the three week wait! :)

Nice! Loving the step up in power! B)

Yes I mean coming from a small tin can car with a 210bhp turbo engine, going to a big heavy N/A engine the Corsa in some respect kind of felt faster and I stress the word felt as I know the Z is much faster.

But the Z omg totally different animal, it just has so much more pace than the Corsa. The Corsa would feel fast when the turbo kicked in but then would run out of steam, the Z just seems to keep going and going effortlessly.

I need to be careful as sometimes you don't release how fast your actually going in the Z.

I came from a corsa too, the 1.6t sri version. Its nice to have a car that's much more planted and doesn't have a reputation as a chavs car! Not to mention reliability! Month out of warranty and the air conditioning compressor needed replacing to the tune of £1600, wheel bearings would need replaced regularly (i was told this is a known issue....great!), more frequently than tyres! With the z its already leaps and bounds ahead of it in terms of maintenance!

Enjoy it! I do everyday, it was the best decision!
