  1. I know what I paid for it, and I think I got it for a steal and is worth more than I paid if I am to be totally honest. With me being the fifth owner I thought the same 'whats wrong with it?' But I have a mate who is a Nissan mechanic and I took him with me to check the car out and he gave it the ok. It drives great and I can honestly say as far as I am aware there is nothing wrong with it, unless there is some underlying problem that only someone in the know would spot. I can see that it may look fishy, but as I said something totally unexpected happened completely out of the blue in my life and owning an expensive car is really low on my list of priorities right now.
  2. Hey guys Sad sad day but I think I have to sell the Zed. I have only had her a month and I am still in love with the car but it needs to go. I do not want to bore you with the @*!# going on in my life right now but something unexpected and bad has happened in my life and has made me realise having a flash car is not a priority in my life right now. I just need to get a cheap reliable car to get me from A to B and get my priorities right in my life again. Anyway I am going off topic here. I know I can't sell over the forum but I would like to know what you guys think my car is worth so I can get her up on autotrader etc. 2007 HR (313) Got 55k on the clock GT pack Silver Interior exterior condition is great, got usual stone chips has the optional sat nav MOT & Tax till end of August Full service history (part Nissan part independent) I am the 5th owner Tyres have good tread all round Drives great everything works no skipping CD player etc HPI clear Not sure what other info is needed but here are some pictures of the car in my other thread. Also I plan to return the car to standard and take the Nismo intakes off. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/72393-my-new-z/#entry1078601 So yea please let me know what you reckon the car is worth. Thanks guys, gutted I did not get to enjoy the car for longer and get to know you guys better. It is a tough call for me to make really tough but I know I am doing the right thing.
  3. Surely they can't auction your car over a parking ticket? Plus they will need the log book? I would not be surprised if they are telling you porkies about the auction, sounds to me like a trick to try and scare you into paying up. Get legal advice asap as this sounds fishy.
  4. Haha I have not taken the TC off once yet!! I am too scared
  5. Well I guess I kind of a agree and see what your saying that a £30k car modded will never be as good at a £100k car, although this is debateable. I don't see how people can see modding a car is pointless because the reality is the majority of people will never be able to afford a £100k car so we just do the best we can with what we have.
  6. Yes I mean coming from a small tin can car with a 210bhp turbo engine, going to a big heavy N/A engine the Corsa in some respect kind of felt faster and I stress the word felt as I know the Z is much faster. But the Z omg totally different animal, it just has so much more pace than the Corsa. The Corsa would feel fast when the turbo kicked in but then would run out of steam, the Z just seems to keep going and going effortlessly. I need to be careful as sometimes you don't release how fast your actually going in the Z.

    My New Z

Just thought I would share some pictures of my new Zed. So from the day I put the deposit on the car it was a painful three week wait until I finally picked her up last Thursday but have been enjoying her too much to upload pictures Reason it took so long to pick the car up was the car had private plates which he wanted to keep so had to wait for the DVLA to sort out all that. Ok so this is the car I came from Corsa looked nice, had nice Recaros, went quite well for a hot hatch and sounded immense. The handling was awful a lot of body roll, did not feel confident chucking it into a corner at any kind of speed at all which kind of defeated the point of owning a hot hatch . Ultimately though I just had too many problems with it and it cost me a lot of money putting things right, owning this car was a total love hate relationship I have to say. So was looking for something (in order) Reliable, Good looking, Fairly quick and would not cost the world to own. So was thinking German or Jap route. Narrowed it down to either the Z or a 135i, went for the Z as I was more bothered about looks and less about speed the Z well it looks much sexier than the BMW! and here it is Needless to say this is in another league to the Corsa and overall a much nicer place to be. Very happy with the car and it was definitely worth the three week wait!
  8. Hey guys just looking for a bit of advice. I recently took delivery of a Nismo dual intake kit for my car from another member on here. Decided to give it a clean using a K&N cleaning kit I had lying about in my garage. Now when it comes to oiling does the Nismo need to be oiled like a K&N does. I am no expert but looking at the material the Nismo intakes are made of I would say no, but I could be wrong. Was hoping that anyone in the know could give me a clue please Thanks
  9. It looks like a blue catfish lol
  10. Jesus man, stuff like this really winds me up. You really can't have anything nice these days without some jealous little shits damaging/stealing it.
  11. My friend had a GTR, sold it a few months back unfortunately . I remember him telling me about some of the running costs and remember them being pretty horrendous! Have you considered a BMW 135i/335i? I was looking at them before I settled on the Zed. Exhaust, air filter, intercooler, map and you will be looking at about 400bhp!
  12. Hey chaps, Thanks for the help, I think I am leaning towards the Cobra as you can choose the tail pipe which is cool and if the Y pipe is Cobra I may as well keep it all one brand. Unfortunately looks as though I will not be picking the car up as soon as I anticipated as the private plate transfer is probably going to take longer than I initially predicted. So will hold off on ordering the system for now but only until the guy has the new log book and we have agreed a definite pick up date. So hopefully I will be in contact shortly cougar store to get a Cobra system sorted Thanks again
  13. Hey guys, So I have not even picked my 350z up yet but I am already looking at exhausts!! lol I have been doing a bit of digging around and I was looking to go for scorpion as it seems it is not too droney and it sounds nice and is reasonably priced. Now I have also heard some clips of the cobra resonated and I also quite like the sound of it. How do these two exhausts match up in terms of build quality, the note it produces and how loud it is in and outside the cabin. What I am looking for ideally is an exhaust that does not drone in the cabin on the motorway, is not overly loud when pottering around town, but sounds nice when you give the car some beans. Any input is appreciated. Also is it worth getting the Y pipe? what are the benefits of this and how much louder will it make it?
  14. Just thought I would introduce myself. I have just put a deposit down on a 2007 HR 350z in silver with 54k on the clock. Always wanted a 350z so really excited to get it, hopfully will be picking it up next weekend. Intake and exhaust will be first in my list as soon as I pick her up so will no doubt be picking your brains on my options! Thanks guys
