MrMartinPGrant Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 has anyone fitted a Mishimoto Nissan 350Z aluminium fan shroud kit? my engine fans died so i bought this http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/mishimoto-nissan-350z-aluminum-fan-shroud-03.html problem is, each fan has only two wires, the oem fans have 4 wires, has anyone installed one of these? if so, how did you wire it. thanks, ps i did find the folling info over on http://my350z.com but just wanted to check. Fan 1 Drivers Side (1) Blue out – (2) Green In (350z harness) (1) Black Out – (2) Black In (350z harness) Fan 2 Passenger’s Side (1)Blue Out – (2) Blue In (350z harness) (1)Black Out – (2) Yellow In (350z harness) also this 1. Cut the ends of both wire leads long and short that connect directly to the stock fans. 2. Strip off the black heat jacket. 3. Take Blue wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 2. 4. Take Yellow wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 2. 5. Take Green wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 1. 6. Take Black wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 1. 7. Heat shrink all connections and then slide some sort of loom over them for protection. 8. Keyser Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) That is the one I used works a treat EDIT: My set up for this question will be as your looking at the car Fan 1 is the Passenger side, Fan 2 is the Driver side 1. Keyser Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 It looks nicer, is thinner (handy if you have FMIC pipes to get in the gap) and is supposedly more efficient - bit hard to say if it is or not as I changed everything else at the same time. When a single fan or both fans come on it displaces air like a helicopter Can't say is its more efficient on its own but I have the mishimoto rad which is 30% bigger, 19row setrab oil cooler and oil pan. spacer giving almost 7l oil capacity.
