M13KYF Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Stan our cat was put to asleep yesterday. He suffered kidney failure. It had become the moment where it was time to end his suffering. He was 18 years old and we had him for the last three years. He spent most of his life a stray eventually taking up shelter with a old fella. The chap had to go into care after a couple of years so Stan was homeless again and was luckily taken in by a animal charity. There he was fostered for a while till we came along and gave him a good home. At last he was content and had a family to look after him through the final years of his life. Some people say cats don't do much and I for one would of agreed. Stan wasn't just any cat though, he had his own strong character and was very set in his ways. See ya Stan. x Quote

MarkW Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 RIP Stan. Not all cats are the same, Stan sounds I got two 15 year old little dudes had from kittens. They brighten up my day every day and will be gutted when they go. Cats are cool - dogs too!. Quote
Chesterfield Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Sorry to hear that Mike. 18 years! Thats a good innings for a cat isnt it? We have two - Guiness and Mackeson (on account of them being black and white). Tracy has had them from kittens from the RSPCA - they are part of the family - so understand how much the little chap must have meant. Quote
