On the subject of killing animals like pigeons and rabbits if your killing them to protect crops and are going to eat them fair enough. My dad sounds exactly like rabbit stew loaves shooting and as a kid we had a wealth of game to eat and it tastes ssooooooo good my mother makes an awesome game pie. Ive also been shooting quite a bit and its pretty easy to shoot a rabbit with a air rifle and for it to be an instant kill.
