Everything but..... at the Goodwood Breakfast

Everything from a Fiat Topolino (with wind up key at back) to a Matt black 612 but not a single 350 or 370 did I see at the Goodwood breakfast. We got parked on the circuit this time despite not being one of the themed cars. It was seriously cold.

Some really great stuff there today - particularly some of the Mk1 Escorts.

Thanks Neil...Got any pics to post ?

Sorry no. I used to be a fanatical picture taker ...everything from badges to dashboards - even the windscreen wipers on a early Renault. Then I got bored with it. I felt I was spending more time focusing on taking the pictures than enjoying the cars...so I stopped. The same thing has happened with car modification and maintenance...I just drive to Abbey. My spanners are now lying fallow; my Gunson Gastester has gone to Ebay and my valve spring compressor is quietly rusting away in a corner.

My Z was parked over the road in the muddy field!

Was a good turn out this morning, always love the mix of stuff you get at these breakfast clubs from hot rods to alfas and as you say some excellent old escorts, best one being the mint as mint can be bubble arched mk1 parked near the chicane

Aprils meet (April 7th) is sushi sunday so I'll be down there for that again, be nice to see some Z's there

 We avoided the field this time. We got there very early - maybe that was something to do with it.

I was there but in our Austin A40, very cold day but good to get out.

Spied 1 Zed in the car park behind the ticket office.

We saw one A40 not far from where we were parked. I remember the A40 coming out and how modern it looked. You also realise now how much smaller cars were then and how they didn't have stuff you don't really need. The older 2CVs and early Minis are brilliant examples of how much stuff they don't have but still work.

Need to pop in and see you soon. My CEL came up on the return journey. Time to turn off some more sensors

Guys, how did no one spot another zed!! I was behind one in the queue to get in (you got bored and turned out of the queue) in silver...

There was also a sunset Zed in the 'Not tax free' Car Park to the right of the entrance, as well as my own that was a couple of rows back! :)

Shoulda gone to specsavers :p

I'm never quite sure on their rules, but I've been to loads and arrived early and arrived later and sometimes parked in field (sadly more often) and sometimes on track so guess its just luck.

Good to know few of you guys attend so I'll say hello if I see you there in April

I was there this morning in the car park ,it was the Sunset one Benjy88 saw, always get in that car park if you get there early enough, before 8am will normally get you in there, even if your not themed they let you in if your car looks the part, much to my sons disgust. This morning he followed me and a few from our local club in through the main entrance, Z, 2 x rx8`s, mx5 and an old school golf gti, with him in his landy and, he got turned away and told to park in the public area further down the road, he was not happy

I have had 2 of my cars on the grid in the last 3 years , normally you have to get an invitation, from when you register interest, but if your early enough and have the right car you can still get on the grid if the marshalls on the gates think its suitable or you get sent to the paddock area, hoping to get the Z on this year i registered same day as the dates were announced for the sushi sunday

I was starting think it was "carist" but evidently not. In the Caterhams, always got in Paddock or inside car park or "themed" park on appropriate day. Elise was always inside car park. 350Z has been the outside field every time.....until yesterday :yahoo:
