Dave172 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Just wondering what is the best way to tint the rear lights. What is the darkest way you can go legally and how hard is this to do. Help needed Quote
S1 HNK Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Spray is probably the easiest way of doing it. Looks rubbish though! Quote
AMT Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Aw don't spray! My friend did that with his Hyundai Coupe (mind that beast?... ) headlights and they were terrible! Wasn't able to reflect off all the shiny bits in the lamp casing so therefore gave a crap light, I imagine the rears of a car will just be the same. Best bet buy a set of already professionally darkened ones. http://www.tunersdepot.com/Images/Sonar-LED-Tail-Lights-Black-03-05-Nissan-350Z-33-103-YD_ALT_N350Z02_LED_BK_m.jpg http://www.tunersdepot.com/Images/KS-LED-Tail-Lights-Black-03-05-Nissan-350Z-42-103-KS_N303TLEDJM_m.jpg Edited January 28, 2013 by AMT Quote
DoogyRev Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Get the Fly Eyes stuff. Just stick it on. looks ok IMO Quote
WhackyWill Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 If you fit smoked rear lights you have to fit seperate red reflectors for the MOT..!! Quote
S1 HNK Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) I just hope your car isn't black as they look so chavvy. I really dont understand people buying a car like a 350Z and doing stuff like this. Yeah we all did it when we 17 on Saxos and Corsas but the Zed deserves a bit more respect! coldel Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Regarding legality, off the top of my head I thought new mot laws were that any tinting on a vehicles lights is an instant fail. Quote
