DannyBoy Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 That stuff is an attempt at sticky-backed carbon fibre, and having used it I can tell you it is an absolute NIGHTMARE to work with. It won't stretch or conform at all like vinyl does so unless your intended part is perfectly flat you're in trouble. If you could get it to sit properly it would look a bit better than vinyl, but the chances of that happening are so small it's not worth the effort. rtbiscuit Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 carbon mods do a carbon skinning kit which i used in the past and did b pillars and rear strut in it. not easy to use, have to say the quality of the weave was not the best. but with practice it could be usable. as for this stuff.not tried it. you could possibly do the air vents in it, but you'd have visible edges,as unlike vinyl or skinning you cant tuck it round to give a finished look. it would be just like stick on nismo pillars. at £12 its worth a punt, but i'm not sure you'll get your desired finish.
