Which filter is "The best"

Patch

Recommended Posts

I read that a K&N induction kit gives between 8-10bhp,is that even possible?

Was it max power that you read that in?

No.

No

And double no

You will be lucky to see anything more than 1 or 2 brake from a velocity stack and decent panel filter (k&n). Induction kit will give you immense noise but probably power loss because of heat soak.

Listen phil (as you shall be known from this day forth).....if you can get a 10 bhp increase from a CAI I'll personally administer oral relief for you.

In fact if you put one on and DON'T end up with a flat spot in the acceleration I'll be impressed.

Noise is amazing though......best bet is a JWT popcharger

Whats your real name patch. Are you phil?

Phil,who the F is Phil?

Ermm

As Ricey said. But with a cotton/foam filter it can be washed and reused rather than just binning so it can save you money in the long run ( depending how much an air filter is )

Do you want just a panel filter to replace the OEM one? Or a whole induction kit?

Panel filter will be better for gains, as there is no heat soak from the engine. But requires remap.

Induction, such as a jwt popcharger. Will sound awesome but would actually reduce power (very small) due to heat soak through the engine bay.

I had a popcharger on mine and was very happy with it.

My Invidia duel exhaust turned up the other day,so looking to see which filter will be best before it goes off to be mapped.

How does the ecu work on these things, granted to make the most out of the mods it needs mapping to suit, but surely if you improve airflow in and out it will gain something?
