robin c Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Any ideas or anything close colour wise for 19inch Rays. Oh non Black edition. Quote
philb1965 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 No replies because there is no available colour code, I don't even think there is a close match. Have a search, it's been covered before. Quote
Will370z Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 There is no colour code and its a nightmare to match. Nissan have tried twice now and couldnt match it so i'll be having them all done Quote
sipar69 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Same applies to the Black Edition. After problematic refurbs I had all mine redone a while ago in a colour that would be easier to match if I curb em and still very happy with the result. Quote

I believe powder coat is supposed to be more durable, but I think a decent paint job should also be durable. Mine were done fairly recently, so it's a bit early to make a judgement, but they look as good as new so far! Quote
robin c Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Car going to BJV engineering for refurb tomorrow on two rims. Let you all know how it goes.... Quote
robin c Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Ok so BJV engineering, 10 out of 10 for service, friendliness and paint match! Good value too, £140 for two wheels. Finally a company which can paint wheels properly! They have done a few 370z's now. A bit of a drive for me, 40mins each way, but left car for a few days securely locked. Quote
roadtrip Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Great price, I'm considering getting my wheels refurbed in the same colour and BJV Engineering are really close to me. Did you decide to get them painted or powder coated? Was it done with a different colour base coat like with hyper silver? Quote
roadtrip Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Good to hear, where are they based? Flaunden near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk Quote
robin c Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 They painted a base coat of black then built up layers of silver to get the shadow type silver effect. Not sure if wet painted or powder coated. I imagine painted. Top tip don't follow the sat nav from m25 go a different way! The road in on sat nav was like something from Cornwall lanes. Quote

robin c Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 it's basically same colour as oem wheels, l the last place who were used failed miserably to match the oem wheel shade Quote
