MuzBain Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hi all Ive just joined the forum after finally getting a Zed Its a totally standard 04 plate with under 10k on the clock and iam delighted with it.I traded a T sport celica so you can imagine the difference!!! I now wanna treat her to some extra performance but Iam a complete lamer regards upgrading etc....What do you Guys think I should do first / best place to get stuff /fitting etc would be really gratefull for any advise cheers... lomoto Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hi there, you will not be dissapointed with the Zed, if you do a search on this site you can find lots of bolt on stuff for the car reviewed etc.. Sorry no real gains in power with air filters , exhausts etc but they do make the car sound better Quote
ir_fuel Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 The only easy power gain can be achieved by installing a plenum from Kinetix or some other company to get increased airflow. Apart from that it will be F/I which will cost you lotsa money Quote

It's far better than any other car in its class until you start getting up to to 911 territory Quote

MuzBain Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Wow thanks for all the advice really helpful ive seen a typhoon induction kit for 100 notes so thought might get that Ive got a couple of niggles with my zed changing first into second is a bit difficult and there is noise when i brake /pull away like something loose at back axle area still under garage warrenty so gonna get them to check it out Quote
Removed Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 notchy gear change when cold is normal, crunchy gears aren't. The noise you hear is probably clucky rear axles, your dealer should know, do a search on here to learn more Quote
