ok so I'm familiar with the honda aerial obviously but what does the standard 350z aerial look like and do they swap easy if necessary

so what's wrong with that then? I don't mind it. Could do with being a bit shorter but the honda one looks too chunky.

In answer to your original question Nixy, it what sets we 350Z-uk members apart from the others, and it couldn't be easier to fit as it just screws into the original base.

+1 My first mod

so having a stubby if you're a member here is a bit like having a funny handshake?
Good analogy, yes this is true.

You also need to post naked pictures of yourself ;)

must say that the reception IS better on the original aerial; I have noticed an improvement recently having to put my original back on after someone pinched my stubby (not as exciting as it sounds!)

xtrail stubby fits nicely... ;)

however, it is ok on presets for my area, but as soon as I go out of range and it tries to retune, i have lost radio 1 in some cases, for example... and it finds it difficult sometimes to retune... ( I found this out on my run to King's Lynn this weekend ...

it's got something to do with the amplifier circuit in the base, which is designed for that length aerial, fitting a smaller one requires larger signal amplifier thjingybob...

but not a great problem... considering the B) factor...
