Page 21. During 2007, there will be a revised V6 with 70% new parts = power up to 309 bhp. A bonnet bulge will feature on revised cars.

The Nismo version will feature a new lighter bodykit developed from the super GT racers in Japan. The bodyshell will be stiffened by additional welding and bars across the chassis, new dampers and Bridgestone RE01-R tyres. The Nismo car will have the new powerplant or a detuned version of the 400 bhp 3.8 litre Type 380RS-Competition club racer.

Yeah the bonnet does look really out of place. IMO TO have introduced a bulge gives the impression there is now a real beast in the engine bay i.e. a 350/400bhp monster but no its just a few bhp more

TBF if, like me, you have a MY03 it is actually more than a few BHP. I wouldn't complain! ;)

At least the rear is only for the NISMO version - the bonnet's for everyone!

According to the Z lovers across the ocean, the bonnet doesn't look as bad in real life as on pictures. I hate the look of it as well on the pics, but it might be better in real life...

Whether we like the look of it or not, the crucial factor for me here is how it will effect the values of ours. With this being the second update in as many years, Nissan don't appear to be too concerned about safeguarding their customer's investments.

If you read the article, their not bringing out a 400 litre version, they are using the 400 bhp engine which is currently race tuned (3.8) and de tuning it, hence not 400 bhp
