Left Speakers Cut Out Going over Bumps

Recommended Posts

Hi all, just recently bought my zed. It was all working fine but I noticed that going over severe bumps causes problems with my speakers. The left side cuts out/starts working again.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips on what I should do to solve the problem?

Cheers

I had the same problem with my left speaker cutting out when I bought mine and found a couple of solutions on a thread on here. The first solution I tried was hit/thump the passenger knee rest thingy ( technical term :p ) and has been fine ever since! ( been fine for last 6 months anyway ) As Abby has said there is a fault I think with a lose cable in the amp. The search button at top right is your friend.

found this out the second day i had my zed, next day promptly too the head unit apart into a million pieces to fix it. Follow the guide on here and you cant go wrong

Yep, my 350 did this too! Ruddy annoying. Only happened when playing CDs..radio was always fine. Im not very good with spanners so the excellent DIY guide wasn't much use to me. I ended up fixing it by buying a newer Zed

A further development... It seems if I brake too hard it cuts out. To get it back I have to switch the a different CD and pray I don't have to do any emergency stops.

Is this something I could get Nissan to fix if I took it to a dealer?
