sukh13 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I have an 07 sat nav unit, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to upgrade the system to get better features at all? I hear a lot about Bird view, is this a 3D view of maps? Quote
narcotix Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 If it's a standard Nissan fitted Sat NAv then you already have a Birdview system. In terms of upgrades, there's not really much you can do with them apart from getting an updated map disc (not cheap) The other option you have is removing the Nissan system and replacing it with a custom system like Cookbot or Nurrish does. chriswatson99 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can buy update CDs from Ebay, i picked one up for around £40 and it works fine. Quote
sukh13 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Is there a way to input the first couple of digits of the postcode? Quote
Lexx Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Simply put - No. The OEM Birdview system doesnt support postcode imput. Quote
sukh13 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Damn, I was hoping for at least 3 digit postcode support so I don't have to start from scratch everytime! Quote
sukh13 Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 Also is there a way to get traffic working? Quote

Chris`I Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Does the new connect premium support postcodes Yes, thats why I waited for it, but they are only on MY10+ 370z, not in 350z Quote
Ebized Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Does the new connect premium support postcodes Yes, thats why I waited for it, but they are only on MY10+ 370z, not in 350z or the MY09 370's. easy way to check you are looking at an 'alleged' MY10 370 is whether it has a touchscreen - if not it is an MY09 version. Also is there a way to get traffic working? I mainly leave that to the police more seriously, the answer is yes - go to the navigation settings menu. And when you put in a route it will show hold ups etc and update on the move with the usual diversion options. Quote
