sipar69 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Been trying to update mine with a photo of the new car but I have to shrink it so small to get within the 6KB limit that it's virtually invisible. How do you folks manage to get decent size pictures down to 6KB. (I have tried saving as PNG and JPEG images and shrinking them down using Photoshop). Quote
Chris`I Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Upload it and I'll give it a go. Should be 100x100 in size and then just adjust the quality in PS to get it under the size Quote
manphibian Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Yeah, if you have photoshop, go to FILE > SAVE FOR WEB Quote
brillomaster Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 could save it as a gif - those are tiny (although image quality isnt brilliant - save the high quality image for you signature pic Quote

Chris`I Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Yeah, if you have photoshop, go to FILE > SAVE FOR WEB Ah yes, forgot to say that bit. Thats when you can then drop the quality slider a bit to get it under the requirement. Quote
Husky Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 why not keep the quality as high as you want and host it on photobucket Quote
M13KYF Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Cheers all! I'll give it a go! you can email me at I'll have a look at it if you want Quote
sipar69 Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 why not keep the quality as high as you want and host it on photobucket Didn't realise I could do that - does that mean the 6KB limit doesn't apply - just the 100 x 100 size specification? Quote
Chris`I Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Yeah off-site it just needs to be under the 100x100px limit, no size limit in terms of Kb as its not our bandwidth so we dont care You be shocked to know how much bandwidth we chew through a month for a lowly internet owners club Quote
