marksman45
Hi Guys, I changed my front pads yesterday and removed the calipers and boy were they clogged up with carbon, I fitted the EBC Red stuff and they went in great everything fitted back together after giving it a clean. The problem I have now is, I cannot seem to get the fluid through. I have removed the black nipples on the Brembo's Ronnie as been pumping the brakes but nothing is coming through. am I doing something wrong here : ( Need help quick, I am missing driving her already lol Cheers Mark P.S I have tried the search area, but it could take me forever. Lincolnbaggie
The black bits on the nipples are just dust covers- underneath is a nut that needs to be loosened off by half a turn or so, then you should see fluid. Don't forget to do the brakes in the right order (and remember there are two nipples on the front Brembos).

marksman45
was doing the drivers side first, then the pass, or are you refering to the bleed nozzles lol
Ebized
Following on from what Neil has said......... and nicked from another thread the brake bleeding procedure is: Bleeding Brake System AFS000U0 CAUTION: While bleeding, pay attention to master cylinder fluid level. 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 2. Connect a vinyl tube to the rear left air bleeder. 3. Fully depress brake pedal 4 to 5 times. 4. With the brake pedal depressed, loosen the air bleeder to let the air out, and then tighten it immediately. 5. Repeat steps 3, 4 until no more air comes out. 6. Tighten the air bleeder to the specified torque. Refer to BR-25, "Components" ,BR-31, "Component" ,BR- 38, "Components" ,BR-44, "Components" . 7. In steps 2 to 6 below, with the master cylinder reservoir tank filled at least half way, bleed air from the front right, rear right, and front left tires, in that order
marksman45
Thanks for that Colin, didn't realise I had to bleed the rear as well, this may sound like a daft question, but working in the car seat trim manufacturing we depict the left and right of the car from the back so are you doing the same or do you doing it from the front? It may sound silly but my right could be the opposite to yours : ) Mark
AK350Z
Are you sure you don't need an adult to help you? Just joking, there is a bleed nipple on either half of the front calipers.

Jeff E
And these people take their cars on the road. God help us. If there is a case for making car maintenance by qualified mechanics compulsory, this has to be it.
