cerealuk Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Thinking of fitting spacers to the zed, will I need to inform my insurance company? Quote
DoubleDeuce1973 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Yes you should do. Be warned though, I had loads of issues when I called about fitting mine as a couple of companies, Esure and Admiral, refused to cover me for them. Quote
Will370z Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Definitely yes, if not your insurance will be void as the car does not represent the original policy you signed up for, and the insurance company only need the slightest excuse to void the policy. I told direct line everything I was going to do, they couldn't support the mods so they had to cancel my policy (no cancellation fee for me ) and I moved to sky insurance. They covered all my mods and came up with a premium £80 less than the original one with direct line. If your insurance company won't cover the spacers shop around like it did, it's not worth trying to risk it. Quote
coldel Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Put a set of 19" Volks on my car recently, phoned up the insurance and let them know, extra £25 - money paid - worry free. Quote
Ricey Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Spacers are a frigging nightmare to get covered though......for some reason insurance companies will let you mod the living shiiiiiiiiiiiiiite out of the engine but then refuse to cover you if you stick 40ml of metal on your hubs Quote
