PeteDench Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Hi people, Had the Zed for a couple of months now, love it. However i have noticed that from cold the change from 1st to 2nd is a bit 'lumpy' is this normal? seems to get much better as the car warms up. i have checked oil levels etc and all seems fine. car is driven slowly as it warms up and the service history and 1 previous owner would suggest its been looked after well previously. Any help appreciated Thanks Pete Quote
JetSet Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 The gear change problem is well documented especially when cold. I'm pretty sure all 350's have this clunk when changing from first to second so nothing to worry about. Pete Quote
Southernspeed Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Yeah mine's very mechanical when cold. 1st to 2nd and sometimes to 3rd, almost a bit 'toothy' sometimes like a real metal on metal chink. Fine when warm though Quote
MacW Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Working as intended Tends to smooth out if you feed a few more revs through it, just doesn't like low speed traffic changes when it's cold. Quote
PeteDench Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Thanks guys, Feel much better about it now. Also I suppose if it's best warm then that's a great excuse to drive it more!! Quote
buster Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 i ll admit to short gear changes when its cold going from 1st to 3rd Quote
