ma'z'y Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Getting my wheels refurbished and thought id get some opinions on colors. They are currently grey in the center and have a polished lip, i think this makes the wheel appear smaller than it is (18") so i wanna get the whole thing the same. Heres a pic although the polished lip has corroded over the winter hence the re furb. I know its boring but im leaning towards a regular alloy silver and changing the tyres for some low profiles instead of the stretched look. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 if you change the profile and go lower than the stock wheel size 2 things will happen 1. the wheels will look tiny in the arches and look odd. 2. most likely you'll see traction control issues. basically try and keep the rolling radius as close to stock as possible. as for colour, brighter will make them look bigger, darker will make them look smaller Quote
Ian Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Orange or Green I'd be looking to change them though, they are nasty Quote
rtbiscuit Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Orange or Green I'd be looking to change them though, they are nasty have to agree, nasty is a bit of a strong word though nice set of 19's and a 30mm drop in ride height would look good Quote
ma'z'y Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Yep i understand the rolling radius must be the same thanks. Hmmm i thort they'd look fine in another colour, each to there own i guess. Quote
